UPDATE: The agency got back to me swiftly to rectify the issue, they were apologetic and explained their position thoroughly. Even though the situation could be handled better, they went beyond their way to make sure I was fine as well as listening in to my concerns. A staffing/events agency with an odd practice: Applied for a job through this agency, at first everything seems fine and well. Registered my information and details to confirm the job that I was supposed to perform. However, at the last minute I was abruptly removed from the job without explanation. After some inquiry, it was revealed to me that I was removed by another "part-timer" who apparently has the authority to do so, even though he is supposedly just a "part-timer". The agency did not claim responsibility, they first claimed that there is a change in requirements of the job. Then the "part-timer" finally messaged me saying that "they wanted more familiar faces working on the job". Afterwards, I no longer received any forms of replies or explanation from him. Although the agency then "tried getting my job back" which surprise surprise they were not able to do. Had the agency handled this better, by admitting their mistake or reprimanding the supposed "part-timer" I would not have given them such a scathing remark. To whoever is being approached by this agency to work for them, please be wary of the quality of the people they are dealing with. I would not fully fault the agency, but they somehow let this unprofessionalism went through unchecked without claiming any form of responsibility or accountability.
