Best Seafood restaurant in Singapore

J	Joice Tjen on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fish soup is nice with decent amount of tofu and vegetables. Price is not cheap but not bad for the quality of food and place. The queue is 15-20 mins. There are lots of spaces to sit down (there's a common nearby area which can be used to eat). The place is in air-conditioned building which is not so smelly so it's obviously a nicer place to eat compared to Amoy. They open until 7.30pm on weekdays. Update in Feb 2022: the queue is much lesser now with more space to sit due to other restaurants around it not operating. Food price is still the same.

Add $0.50 for rice and $1 for bee hoon. They don’t have other payment methods except cash though. Would suggest to get some digital payment methods to allow customers to make payment.

The fish was pretty fishy, (well more like the entire soup reeked—I could smell it before I even opened the plastic bag that held the container), the soup was oddly sugary sweet, and the chili was also weirdly sweet and not like the regular dipping soy sauce chili/garlic chili that you get. The soup was so peppery it was more peppery than the most peppery Bak Kut Teh I’ve had so… I think it was to cover up the fishy-ness of the fish that probably wasn’t fresh. Honestly usually when a fish soup is bad it could be too bland or too salty but the flavor is generally there—the flavor of this one however was entirely off. I didn’t think fish soup could go this wrong on flavor. The one redeeming factor was the crispy garlic bits that were pretty well fried and fragrant
