I had a similar bad experience as the others here. It took a while before anyone came to take down my particulars for a follow-up session despite my request. Thereafter, two weeks past without anyone contacting me. Despite repeated attempts to reach out to them, promises to return call just didn't materialize. Made me feel that they are very busy, or not needing my business at all or just don't have the necessary skills to serve their customers with respect. Sad.

The design was kind of fixed and not based on customer preference. There were many items added to the quotation and might not be what we wanted. When we feedback that we would not need those items, we were treated very rudely. It was the first time we encountered such arrogant service. I would strongly discourage anyone to engage their service.

We visited them with anticipation of a gd experience after reading their FB reviews. But we were totally ignored the entire time we were there, with the service being practically non existent. We left with the impression that there is an air of snobbery lurking in there. Perhaps because we were dressed down in our weekend casuals or because we didn't appear to fit their expected customer profile? Wise up guys if you want your biz to survive, local Singaporeans too have spending power and we dont like poor service. We get better service at the top end luxury brands.

Wish I have checked the reviews before wasting my time there. The store is full of decorations and at first place I was amazed by the stylish items. But the price is way too high and the quality is too poor. But the poor service is what made my experience terrible. We had to wait for more than 15min to the assistant to come because no one was there. Then two ladies came to assist us in our purchase but no coordination between them. One of them told us we could get a lamp while the other lady told us that lamp was reserve, but again the first lady tried to sell it to us and finally the second lady took it away from us. They were really rude in their manners. At the end they tried to sell us one lamp that was broken for 400$, I couldn't believe it. We wasted almost one hour in the store. Warning: Don't get too excited about the stuff you see in the store, at the end the quality is really poor and the service is terrible.

Recently purchased a sofa set and within a couple of months the legs broke off from the base of the sofa. On inspection, noticed that the legs were just screwed into the wooden base without any metal fittings. A very poor and cheap design of low quality which would not last for a few years. Pls beware of the internal construct of the sofas which will cause the legs to be vulnerable and break just after a few months. Extremely disappointed at such shoddy design and workmanship. Obviously done to keep cost low and at the peril of the buyer. Don’t be fooled by a zazy name of the business to think that you’re getting quality products. Will never go back to this place for any future purchases!

Ventured into their showrooms in Tan Boon Liat building and Depot Lane. They have a plethora of items that will suit your every whim and fancy! Loved every minute I was there and the showroom assistants and stylists were ever so willing to assist with my questions. Purchased a couple of items to spruce up my home and loving it!

When we were looking to move into a new place, we have a vague idea of what we wanted. It needed to look like a high end hotel, modern looking, cosy for a family of 4, without breaking the bank. It seemed like a tall order, and we were looking around for a home stylist who could deliver. After reading multiple reviews and comparing various providers, we decided to settle for Arete Culture. And we are so glad we made the right choice! From Day 1, Caroline and Juline made us feel reassured and comfortable. The entire process was smooth and we never felt unsure of how the end outcome would be like. During the 1st visit to our new place, they took one glance at the empty space and immediate gave us suggestions of what could be done after the transformation. The color theme, layout and furniture recommendations provided were all on point. All we had to do, was to select those we wanted and wait for the magic to happen. On the makeover day, we were shocked at the amount of items they brought to our place. We didn't think it could all fit in our 2000 sqft place. But after Carol and Juline did their magic, the entire house was transformed into a beautiful home. The BEFORE-AFTER was simply amazing, and we felt like this was finally a place we could raise our kids and feel proud of. I can't recommend the team at Arete enough! They are extremely busy people, and may take a while to reply, but it only shows how popular they are and even though they have multiple clients at any given time, you can rest assured that they pay extreme close attention to detail and you won't be left hanging. I have had bad experiences in the past with contractors and interior designers, and I can truly say that the team at Arete overdelivered and did their best to make us feel at ease. Even after the place was done up, they still sent us a nice house-warming gift (thanks guys!) and even provided excellent after-service support like recommending us their contractors and carpet cleaners etc. If you want a peace of mind and to work with the best in the industry, at an affordable rate, look no further!
