Great authentic Southern Indian food. Mee goreng and vegetarian set meals are my favourites.

Wonderful kothu prata Kothu prata is cooked prata, shredded on the tawa by the spatula and then fried just like mee goreng with chicken or mutton and I believe a generous addition of masala Quite a time-consuming dish cos it takes time for the kothu prata to absorb the masala and spices Nice!!

?????? Very very bad attitude and service!!! I have been a regular patron to this restaurant since the day they opened @ Ubi Road 3 (3 to 4 years ago). Their quality and service was good until the ownership changed recently. The original owner of Arockia sold the unit to Surya Restaurant in Jan 2022. In the beginning all was good but off late the behavior / interaction of a staff who manages the show turned unfriendly. The tipping point was today (23/05/22) when as usual in the morning I went to order breakfast to take away. Ordered Poori with Vadai for which normally they used to pack with Potato Masala + Chutney with in the box and pack Sambar separate. But today he just packed the food with just 1 side "Potato Masala" I asked for the regular package with Chutney and Sambar but the guy made a big fuss talking words that hurt me a lot, just for a packet of Sambar to be added. All I expected was information to be shared if they is a change in their serving upfront instead of the fuss. I infact paid for the takeaway $3.30 but left the packet as gift to the guy. A lot has changed in this outlet, service has taken a back seat. When did a South India food court outlet started to become so fussy to even Chutney and Sambar for the main course!!! May the Almighty give some gyan to the man.
