Leach is an amazing teacher. She provides a truly experiential learning experience with different paints, brushes and paper!! She provided a very comprehensive overview that sets a good foundation for further practice. I also really appreciate the assignments she set and the feedback she gave so we can work on making continuous improvements. It was a joy being in her class…??

Making painting in Watercolor something that you can do -even when you leave the classroom! I am so happy to have taken this course! Li Ching is a very experienced artist and fantastic teacher! She helps to demystify the art and break it down to manageable parts to understand and later master. I am inspired and feeling more confident as an artist to go practice and experiment with the things I've been wanting to paint for a long time. What's even better, she makes herself available for help when you get stuck in a goof up.

I love Leach’s meticulous approach to watercolour. It’s something I have always struggled with and understanding why paint and water act the way they do has helped a lot. We spent a lot of time learning about materials and testing out different paper, brushes and paint. But most of all, it was a lot of fun!

Best watercolour teacher in Singapore! Leach teaches you the skills so that you are equipped to move forward in whatever you’d like to paint. There’s a big difference between activity-based classes (ie. painting just one subject matter) vs skill-based classes and hers places a heavy emphasis on skills, while providing ample time in class for you to practice and she will be there to provide feedback on your practice work on the spot. If you’re looking for a true educator who can provide strong fundamentals and understanding, I can’t recommend her classes enough! Covering everything from brushes, to paper, to paint, and simplifying complex concepts to fun exercises and demonstrations, you’ll walk away knowing the exact steps to approach any new work, and as a teacher and artist myself, I can definitely say that that in itself is undeniably invaluable. My 4 sessions of basic watercolor with Leach were definitely well-spent. As the class was interactive, I was able to ask questions openly in the cozy environment. All supplies were also provided for during the class and Leach would share tips of what materials to get for further practice and where to get them. I am now able to identify what could have gone wrong when my paint doesn't go the way I want, and how to fix it. There is so much science going on in water-coloring!

Highly recommended! I love how Leach focuses on watercolour techniques & skills instead of making us blindly follow the steps to paint something. She's is professional, inspiring, patient and encouraging. She is so generous about sharing her knowledge. I feel so lucky to be taught by her.

I joined Leach’s beginner watercolour class - strongly recommend her classes to anyone (noob or not) who is keen to understand and create with watercolours! Leach is a wonderful teacher who is effective, detailed, encouraging, and takes time to review our work with us. She also gives us space to explore and find out what materials work better for us, and provides very useful advice on materials depending on what we want to create. Time flies during her light-hearted classes, and we all looked forward to learning every week. I miss class! Will be working on my watercolour techniques and hopefully join an intermediate class when my schedule fits.

Leach's classes are incredibly informative and fun! She is a great teacher and able to break down concepts into simple steps. I had many "Aha" moments when she taught. On top of that, Leach is not just generous with her knowledge, but also with her supplies which is so important because with watercolour, the quality of your materials is proportional to the output. I recommend her highly - you will surely leave the class feeling inspired and motivated.
