My original car window film was old and peeling and was supposed to be replaced under warranty. The applicator was barely competent and kept cutting the film to the wrong size. After multiple attempts most of my window films were repaced properly but the management refused to finish the job. I would not recommend them.

My car was installed with transitional solar film after receiving it from my PI 2 years ago(Yes the film can change to a darker shade when comes in contact with UV). The heat rejection effect felt during hot weather is acceptable but when I am driving under the hot sun, my hand on the steering wheel could still feel the heat from the scorching sun. Another reason which prompted me looking for an alternative solution was I wasn't sure if the transitional film can clear my car inspection due next year. I was browsing google on automotive solar film and came across the brand VKool mentioned in many forum. Did a check on google and contacted Astrotech Engineering. Erika was referred to me and she answered my queries diligently. I decided to proceed with the installation and met up with the installer team(David) and Erika 2 days later. As mentioned by MZ in the recent review, the installation was performed in an enclosed WS and the installer team was very meticulous in their work. I did not encounter with any hard selling when I was waiting in the resting area. Erika had also shared with me the various grade of solar films and their effect felt when tested under the heating tool. In addition, the installer team also informed me that my former transition film would not be able to pass LTA compliance spec and shared with me the VLT level via the testing tool. My experience with the new Vkool solar film vs the former transitional film was that the cabin temp is better. When entering the car after parking it under the sun for 2 hrs, the cabin temp is not that hot( Yes it is still warm but not as hot vs the transitional film). Driving under the sun my hand on the steering can feel the sun but not reaching that kind of scorching level when i was using the former film). Maybe this is one reason why Vkool are selling at premium price. You pay for the material quality you receive. No regret and will recommend to anyone I know that is looking to install solar film for their car.

I was looking around to get an lta compliant solar film with reputable manufacturer with good tser and heat rejection. I contacted Erika on the first day of Chinese New Year on v-kool. She replied promptly and provided several quotation of different package of solar film for Vezel 2017. I am surprised that she replied and she also proceed to setup an appointment date for me to view the demo. On the day of installation, there is no hard selling and Erika is upfront that with tinted window on PI cars there will be limited choices of film that is lta compliant. The place to installed the film and demo is an enclosed space unlike a lot of shop that will do it in an open area of a workshop. The installation took longer than usual as Tommy and Simon realized that the piece of film they used for my front windshield have containments. Thus they redo the entire front windshield. The workmanship by my layman's standard are looking good. I can see that Tommy and Simon put in effort and pride in their work Overall the customer experience journey with Erika, Tommy and Simon are great. I'll highly recommend anyone looking for solar films to have a chat with Erika and team.
