Aureus Academy [Aureus Group] at Northpoint City - Singapore 768019

My kid Jolin has been enrolled for 2 years with Teacher Sandy at Northpoint branch, she enjoy the lesson with teacher sandy and the improvement is very obverse, we are preparing her for the upcoming ABRSM Grade 1 test, thanks for the service provided.

Professional music lesson at North point. Drum teacher nigel is very friendly.

Had my 1st trial drumming lessons with Teacher Nigel. He was encouraging and patient. Definitely looking forward to my lessons with him from now on.

We are so dissatisfied and disappointed with the center personnel way of communicating for the change of class schedule. Have been informed the center for the withdrawal and giving them 1 month notice as required. But due to their fault they didn't schedule properly as what we wanted and per our communication. And keep pushing the fault to us and mentioned that have emailed us the changes prior the lesson without any communication was done as well as our agreement.

There is a serious issue with the management of this branch. I was intending to do a test trial in the branch, and I was appalled listening to an apparent manager of some sort, scolding and almost hitting one of the teachers. For almost 15 minutes. It was a horrendous experience for me as a customer. I informed the teacher to report the manager to MOM, and even the police. Obviously, I did not change to this branch, and stayed with my current branch. Holy crap…. I almost wanted to report to police. But pity I did not take a video.

Teacher Brenda at northpoint outlet was very patient to my son. Very friendly too. My son enjoy his lesson very much.

The Aureus at Northpoint City is not the same as what it is 1 year ago. Many good piano teachers have left. The management here is very lame. Keeps charging fees to my credit card and told lies that Teacher Michelle Santos was on MC for many weeks. When I wanted to withdraw my son from Aureus, my son was left with 10 paid lessons that was not completed. Finally managed to finish the lessons through 2 different interim teachers. The 1st interim teacher Mr CK Wong was a good teacher but he left Aureus before the final 10 lessons could be completed. The next teacher Ms Wong was very inexperienced with teaching. Very long winded and uncomfortable during lessons. It is clear to me she is not well trained to he a teacher and her mind is not clear on how to teach. Also very inexperienced with handling live video streams. My advice to all other parents is to stay away from this centre for the next 1 year or longer. Also, don't be fooled by the many good reviews which were written prematurely right after a young child receives one free trial lesson.

Our Eldest daughter have been in Aureus for about 2 1/2 years. For first 2 years when Teacher Sarah was still around and the school was very responsive in dealing with our issue. It was only recently that Aureus seem to have a changed in management or style that they responded very slowly on issue. 1. Our eldest daughter has changed to another teacher after Teacher Sarah left. Initially it seems fine until on 16 Mar 22 our daughter came out from the class crying. The teacher kept complaining that our daughter did not remember the notes and did not responded to her question. We found out from our daughter that the teacher shouted very loudly at her why she don't know about certain notes and asked her to look for the answer herself. The Teacher even BANG on the piano to vent her frustration in front of my child. Even when she managed to find it the teacher still shouted at her. When she started crying she told my child to get out of the room if she continue to cry. We informed to the center personnel about this and she told us that she will investigate and give us an answer on the day. It has been couple of days and there was not a single call back from center personnel or the teacher to explain. We were extremely disappointed with the way Aureus handle the problem and over promise things they cannot do. So we decided to withdraw from Aureus because we do not want our child to lose her passion for music because of this. 2. Our second daughter recently joined Aureus last year. After awhile the school keeps informing us that her teacher was MC, on leave etc for couple of weeks until we asked again why the teacher kept on leave and Mc. Then the school informed teacher Michelle left abruptly from Aureus since last 2 weeks. We understand there may be issue but the school could have informed us immediately the issue and not kept the truth from us. All I have to say is that making mistakes is part of learning and growing up. A teacher who is passionate of music should respect music. Banging the piano in frustration shows the attitude of a person who does not respect Music. I hopes Aureus will be able to see a bigger vision to seek better expectation of focusing their academy attention in a more passionate way to teach music rather than focusing on the income and revenue.
