★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My colleague and I took a cab from the Shangri-la hotel to the Sydney international airport on 15 Dec at about 1:50pm. The driver took us on a ride and clocked up $110 for over an hour for an original 16 km trip. He was recalcitrant and even threatening, and at time we feared for our safety. Just glad to reach the airport safely after the incident.
It is inconceivable that such things can happen in a developed country like Australia. It spoilt an otherwise pleasant trip. You may PM me for more details. The details of the cab are below. The driver said he is of Bangladeshi origin.
