Ba Bao Clothing Alteration (Marsiling Mall) - 4 Woodlands Street 12

If I could, I would put MINUS 5 stars. Went there last year to alter a new blouse I bought for my mom. I communicated with the male tailor asking him to add a full length zip at the side as the material is not stretchable, the full length zip will allow my mom to wear it more effortlessly. He said no problem. I emphasized few times that I want a full length zip, he kept saying no problem, it can be done. Then he asked me to make full payment, which I did. I went back to collect the blouse, found that he only sew a half length zip at the side. I confronted him, he answered that he already told me beforehand, it will be like that. I was so angry, I told him that I had emphasized so many times I want a full length zip and he answered that it can be done. He raised his voice saying I accused him. What!!! To avoid a fight, my hb calmed me down and we walked off. PLEASE AVOID THIS SHOP. Cheating, not professional, and rude.

I went to this shop on 30/4/2021. Was told to collect the items on 4/5/2021 which was also written on my fully paid receipt. Went on 4/5/21 and was told not done. The uncle told me to come back on 9/5/21 and promise that I could get it back then. I went back on 11/5/21 (2 days after his promised date) and it was still not done. I was so upset and asked to return my items and refund me since they have not work on it. The uncle refused me unreasonably and left me with no choice but to give him another 2 days. Today, 13/5/21. I finally collected back my items. It was badly done and require some rework. Pls pls pls don’t go to this shop. They not only charge slightly more than others, their ‘cut corner’ workmanship does not justify for the long waiting time too. I m so upset that I am thinking of reporting them to HDB and CASE.

Absolutely WILL NOT recommend this place. I had 4 dresses altered in total - with an initial quoted price of $78, which dropped to $65. 3 dresses were of simple length alteration. The 4th dress needed a zipper to be added on the side, instead he sewed up the entire side which is the complete opposite of what I needed. I repeated at least half a dozen times I needed a zipper. Now I'm unable to fit into it. Absolutely preposterous, ridiculous prices all for a job NOT done. Read other reviews too, and you'll see why numerous others have not recommended this alteration store. Visit at your own peril.

Sent 3 pairs of pants om? ato get it altered to shorten 2 bellbottom and replace 1 zipper. All done well very happy with it. I believe everyone has a different experience and I am sharing mine on this review.

Brought 2 skirts for them to shorten and the uncle charged me $30. I would not patronise the shop anymore.

don’t go to this . daylight robber , scammer . anyhow charge for the alterations for a shirt . $15 for making a long sleeve shorter . immediately packed my shirt and left . gave black face .

Not sure why there is so much bad reviews here. Altered my pants/jeans (length shorter/more tight) a lot of times here. My regular alterations shop. I feel that it is good.

Sent 2 pieces of uniforms for alteration, just to make it shorter. To my surprise, he charged me $15 per piece. Altogether I have to pay $30. Would not patronise that store anymore. Horrible.
