★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Most painful Thai food that I’ve ever eaten in my life and I’ve eaten some really terrible food before. Simple dish like basil chicken also can get it wrong. Totally under marinated with strong poultry smell lingering in one’s mouth. The cockles salad came out to be just a plate of plain cockle with no greens or sauce in sight. The pork strip - avoid at all cost! Tasted like hard and dry pork jerky. Considering Golden Mile to be the mother of all Thai produce in Singapore, this is most disappointing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Eat-Thai-Food week: today, ate the Thai vermicelli (tang hoon) with prawn and bitter gourd (with eggs) stir-fry.
Eatery: Baanthai Kitchen (at a foodcourt next to Thai supermarket), Golden Mile Complex.
A group of Japanese housewives were also having meal at this foodcourt, happily chit chatting. I was teleported between Bangkok/Hua Hin and Tokyo, to and fro… ‘fro and to’… The two languages floating in the air, blending into each other…. And I feeling very sleepy in Little Thailand.
Excellent dishes. Highly recommended - this Thai foodcourt at Golden Mile FC more.
