Bar Bar Q - Skewers, Live Music, Alcohol - Live Music

I like to explore places with live bands and after reading reviews on Bar Bar Q,I was quite skeptical in visiting the place due to late/delay food service and poor food quality which some patrons had encountered.However we decided to head down and check out the place on a Thursday evening. As we stepped in,tables were seen tightly arranged side by side and indeed maximised the gaps to a one-person width passage way or probably everybody just squeeze your way though. Food was served at a reasonable waiting time after order was taken and taste was good except having the food served on a plate with oily fingerprints around the brim.Kitchen crew might want to take note on wiping down the side of the plate before table service.Camelia was the female service staff who attended to us mostly when we needed more ice for our drinks or more napkins etc and she returned fast after requesting for it.She is attentive and efficient.Keep up the good service. As we reached early about 7pm,we could see 1 or 2 ceiling fans operating for ventilation but as crowd poured in,the entire area became stuffy.It was uncomfortable to stay throughout the 3 rounds of live band as the noise level of the crowd was overwhelming and the sound system was not best at projecting the singer's voice.Overall, ? speed of table service.

Easy find from Suntec Tower 4. Mala Prawn pasta is not bad . Japchae meets expectations. Using Entertainer 1-1 for main course is value for money . Costs around $20 for two dishes in total for a quick dinner. Other diners seem to enjoy themselves with the music and alcoholic drinks. Will visit again for mala prawn pasta plus skewers next time.

Love the vibes of this restaurant! ?? Best chilling place with friends esp with the live band and their new menu ?. Personal favourites are Umami Chef Signature, Ael's Kanpachi Collar, Crispy Seafood Spring Rolls, Amaebi Tempura, Crispy Chicken Burger and many more! Alfresco seats can also enjoy the live band music and happy hour draft beers from 4pm! I understand that FnB businesses have been affected very badly for the past 2 years thus we should give them more support rather than criticism while they are trying their best to improve on some areas. I usually give ratings after a few visits and not based on 1 so as to be fair to the restaurant. It does not hurt us but it hurts the businesses. Let's support our FnB businesses and be gracious ?

The menu here is very extensive with variety of Japan, Korean, Western & Chinese cuisine ranging from Skewers, Specialty, Mains, Soup/Stew to Bar Bites. Skewers are very flavourful & very well seasoned. Mala pasta with tiger prawns. Perfect for those who enjoy their mala & pasta! This is as if the pasta was sautéed in the remnants of a ma la xiang guo. Pasta is al dente and Tiger Prawn very fresh crunchy. Special Waygu Crispy Cheese Burger. Super juicy & so very tasty wagyu beef patty with their signature sauce & melted cheese, housed between two well toasted buns. The truffle shoestring fries serve at side are fantastic & the truffle taste very distinct. Supreme Ramyeon Special. The broth is very flavorful; bold & spicy. The noodle is soft yet chewy & soak up the broth well. Come with big prawns, scallop & chicken. Mala Fried Chicken. Fried to crispy perfection and the balance between the numbness & spiciness is perfect. The bar is easily accessible and conveniently located in suntec tower 4. We had bar bites and skewers. Their meat were mostly dry and tough. The fried items looks like they had repeatedly use the same oil to fry and they were dark in color. Their beer was reasonably priced at $38 a tower for Belgian wheat beer.

We came for a quick dinner and a couple of beers. The japchae was good, we received it in the middle of dinner. The skewers though were heavily over seasoned with a peppery dry rub. It over powered the meat and it was all you could taste. We had trouble flagging a waiter/waitress to pay the bill. Had to interrupt a conversation they were having with another customer. Last, we weren’t expecting any free dishes, but we left basically almost all of our dinner. Normally, staff would ask if everything was okay or if we didn’t like it. However, there were no questions with us leaving uneaten food.

Japchae was basic and definitely not worth the price. Tiger Prawns mala pasta was so so even though its their recommended dish. Prawns were over cooked but pasta was ok. Non meat skewers are ok but meat skewers are over cooked and the meat is tough.

Had an awesome time at Bar Bar Q last night! The service was great, the staff were friendly and the drinks were pretty good. The waiters were quick to return and get us whatever we needed despite the large crowd. The shots were also served in a really gorgeous set up. We had so much fun chatting with all the staff, who were really sweet and kept us company through the night. 10/10 would return for another fun night (there's also a live band!).
