★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you enjoy going off the beaten track like we do, this little German biergarten atop Phoenix Park in Tanglin guarantees a chillaxing evening of German comfort food, good beers, and fantastic conversations. It’s definitely not the “wurst” place you can stumble upon.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ hidden bar at phoenix park. no mozzies bites, even though insect repellant was provided. there was a nice breeze and the ambience was lovely. overall good food, and bottle of wine is very affordable. however, they are quite understaffed. will come back again with friends.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice cosy place which serves a selection of German beers. Prices are reasonable for both food and drinks. Great place to chill out. Getting there would require some manageable walking from the main road, good if arriving by personal transport or the like.

Array of menu items will definitely draw back hardcore fans (me included), both quality & ambiance ?????? Cheers!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great food at great prices. The sausages, especially the Leberkase and Weisswurst, were so juicy and the iced cold beers at only $10 per pint. Insect repellent and hand sanitisers were even provided for each table - very thoughtful service.

Beer and food are reasonable price.
But taste are so so but outdoor mood was good.
Service was good .
Mosquitos were many as in outdoor with trees.
I was worried about Dengue during dinner.
I got Itchy as mosquito sticked a lot on my legs..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food was fantastic! Curry wursts were great, and so was the fried cheese and pizza. Beer was very smooth. Dog friendly too! They even kindly gave our dogs water to drink without us asking. Felt so touched haha. Only downside was that we had a crowd of uninvited guests in the form of mozzies. ? I don’t fault the restaurant for that though, but I would recommend covering up when going!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was really super average. My fish & chips were unevenly salted (one one part it just tasted like someone dumped the entire salt shaker on it). Service was extremely slow too as the place was over staffed (waited an hour for our dessert).
Still giving it 4 stars tho, beer was good and reasonably priced. Loved the music and the atmosphere. So yeah I’ll be back, just wouldn’t be ordering food :)
