Lost and Found ! My Favourite must try Bak Kut Teh Place in Singapore Used to be called "Ah Meng" old school Bak Kut Teh. Previously Located at Old Hokkien Association building. Though "New" back then about over 10years, word of mouth for their Bak Kut Teh spread quietly fast among the west especially Bukit Panjang CCK. Gained a great following of regulars. But still little known to the rest of Singapore and bloggers and internet. But sadly, retired due to old age. Now they are back! You gotta love their Bak Kut Teh. The uncle really took special effort for his Bak Kut Teh. Boiled till that perfect long hours to create that collagen feel, full bodied, rich flavourful soup but yet not over rich till sticky gummy over thick. Great fragrant Peppery which can be a little spicy for some but definitely not over spicy like some hawkers around. Meat was perfectly soft, yet not too soft. Obviously boiled for hours He simply got everything spot on. His pig trotters and salted veg is very tasty as well. I am so glad he's back on the food scene again. Will definitely be come back often again

Solid and honest meal, uncle Beng is a bit grumpy but auntie makes up for it. 2 sizes of ribs to choose from and don’t forget to ask for extra soup.

Teochew style. This is very delicious, not too oily or too overpowering pepper. I love the salted veg especially as it is really salty/vinegary (not everyone will love it). I give 5 star for the soup and for some reasons, makes me want to go back there rather than the usual vendors.

5 star for interaction with uncle. Chatty and friendly Uncle Ming. Very authentic teochew style bak kut teh. He uses fresh pork bones. So its really fresh good tasting. He opens at 830am. Closes after lunch. Its 1.30pm now and he is getting ready to close. Come early for the spare ribs. We only got the pork ribs. Will surely return. 5 jul 2022 3 star for interaction with aunty The aunty had such a mean streak in her. She told us that we have to order 2 dollars and not 1 dollar for 2 of us. She got the uncle to change the size of the plate to a smaller plate cos we only ordered 2 dollars of salted vegetables. Left a bad taste.

Simple good BKT. Uncle and aunty put in hard work despite their age. Pays to be polite as they are busy with orders and all will be good. Come before 1pm.

Away from the main Bukit Timah road lies an old school coffeeshop with nice bak kut teh. The soup is rich with pork ribs flavour and you can taste the hours spent brewing it. There are people that prefer white bak kut teh soup and some prefer it black. This one is in the middle, brown. It has a strong peppery taste as you reach the base of the bowl. The pork ribs are well cooked till soft. Meat can easily be separated from the bones. Best thing the aunty is friendly and you can ask for more soup. They close on Friday.
