Sin Chew Satay Beehoon - 51 Upper Bukit Timah Rd

The satay bee hoon is amazing and well worth the invariably long queue. The gravy is thick and savoury, slathered over the whole dish. You get a generous heaping of ingredients which include prawns, pork slices, greens and cuttlefish. It is easy to see why they have many loyal regulars.

Amazingly good sauce (not too sweet, good balance of flavour) with many toppings - cuttlefish, pork slices, prawns, cockles, taupok, vegetables:) The queuing area is quite narrow!

This definitely my hubby favorite! He said this is the best!

Don't understand the queue... nothing about it is nice.

I won’t say this is my favourite one as I found it rather too sweet. Prefer slightly saltier and spiciness. I hope I can add more cockles but they refuse to do so. The bee hoon a little overly cooked and probably the bean sprouts can be added more to my liking.

I’m a satay n gravy lover. Ordered $6.50 portion. No add on. Most people take the before mixing photo. I show you the after mixing photo and after eating photo to be realistic. And photo is the leftover beehoon which I can’t eat coz it’s dry for me. Ingredient wise they give 3 prawns. Meat is soft n tender. Cuttlefish is bouncy but tasteless. Some folks reviewed say it’s fresh…. Cmon how can that be fresh. It’s been soaked in alkaline water for sure. Heavily processed! Utter non-sense. Gravy… the most important of all… somehow it doesn’t taste like satay gravy at all. Bit too thin for me and just sweet only. I bought over a decent queue. But if too long I dun think it’s worth it. And in fact I won’t return. Coz not worth my time and calories.

I like their Cuttlefish Kang Kong. Big serving with jellyfish. Yummy ?
