We waited for one hour, queuing, just to savor a sumptuous meal of Curry Rice. My verdict is mixed. The curry didn't have a hint of spice; it was somewhat watery and bland. The pork chop was crispy; strange, it should be meaty (in my view). It even had a charred taste. The vegetable was yummy and very flavorful; I enjoyed it. I could eat the prawn, whole, even with the shells still on. It was crunchy and delicious. The sotong was overcooked, and it was somewhat chewy. Char Siew for curry rice was a novelty for me. But, it tasted rather typical; I would prefer it to be a little charred and with a hint of fat, but it was purely lean meat (that's my taste for char siew). Two issues that were outstanding, One, the service level; despite the stall being exceptionally busy, the service staffs were polite throughout and Two, the entire meal was super value for money. We ordered so many dishes, including a packed one, it only cost me $31.90. This is what I call it value for money. If you have lots of time and doesn't mind waiting for more than 60 minutes, this is the place to go.

Worth the queue? Definitely not. Curry? Light and watery, doesn’t have that curry fragrance. About the pork chop/cutlet. It is crispy biscuit like texture. My biggest grip of all. It is the best of both worlds if it is not called as pork chop because it barely contains any meat, it should be called as pork marinated batter instead. I don’t taste any meat. To me pork chop contains meat and a layer of batter/crumbs. Not batter and no meat/meat dried from the deep frying. Paying 3.60 for cabbage, barely pork chop, egg doesn’t seems affordable to me they also forget to add egg but they charged me. Only when I asked to add egg for the second time they told me they forgot about it.

We had strolled over to this hawker stall after wolfing down the Fishball Mee Pok at Havelock Road Food Centre. Hence, I wasn’t famished when it came to our turn to order, which explains why I did not go mad. Our modest (by my standards ?) spread comprised of deepfried pork chop, curry sotong, braised “tau pok”, fried eggs and stewed cabbage which we savoured with white rice drowned in curry. Going to be honest. I have never considered Hainanese Curry Rice to be all that exciting in terms of aroma and flavour but it sure makes up for that with a multitude of textures.

Really loved the hainanese curry rice here! We have been here for many many years. Would highly recommend their curry fish, sooting, fried prawns! Do come early to avoid the long snaking queue. There aren’t a lot of seats but the turnover rate is quite high.

We waited for 15min on a raining Sunday afternoon and was lucky to get a table for 3 in a small and congested coffeeshop. We ordered braised pork, pork chop, cabbage, egg and one slice of fried fish for 3 pax and assumed they would mix all and serve in 3 plates like mixed vegetables rice but they didn't. Instead, each dishes were served in separate plate, which explained why it was more expensive ($23.30 for 3 pax) than a single $5 packet comprising everything mentioned above except the fish. It was a different type of curry rice compared to say the Beach Road Scissors Cut or the Redhill Curry Rice. Two family members liked the crispy pork chop and one didn't. But all agreed the braised pork and cabbage were good but the fish and egg were ordinary. Curry went well with the rice but not outstanding nor memorable. Overall, worth a visit if the waiting time is less than 15mim.

yummy meal. Even though the Google opening hours states that it closes at 2pm, I am here at 2.15pm on a weekday and there's still a short queue and they are still serving. So if u are a little late getting here, there's hope! I can't say that this is the absolute best curry rice in sg, but I definitely enjoyed it. Fried pork is chopped to ultra crispy morsels.
