Visited Zhenyi Veggie Place - a joint under Zi Zai Zai. My regular dinner place

One of the worst place for brown rice. More often than not it is badly done. It is either not evenly cooked with half cooked grain or sometimes with burnt grains. We have had them most of the time. Recurrences, likely because the management must have taken this problem or complain too lightly. They are quick to give replacement but that only adds to the frustration of having to eat the same badly done rice probably from the same pot. Dishes are delightfully done but if they must go with rice than rice has to be most important. Every moresal will contain rice and the experience of having to eat dishes with badly cooked rice is unbearable especially when you have guests. We now opt for the less healthy white rice if we must visit this place. We have been exchanging notes on the bad tastes left in our mouth by the brown rice for quite a while now and hope Zhengyi will get wind of it and improve. They can learn the art of cooking brown rice from Rong Xiang, Mi Le or YES. Don't get me wrong, I will still be back for my favourite Ku Gua toufu served with white rice.

Best vegetarian foods at reasonable prices. Tasted like the real things.
