See that corner Halal Malay Stall? It’s called The Nasi Padang. It has a FB Page by the same name and it does catering for functions as well. It was just opened recently, like after CNY 2020, and owner moved from its old place in Jalan Wangi MacPherson to Blk 22 Sin Ming Road. Recommended dish is, of course, Nasi Padang set. Be warned. If you love crazy Malay nasi with a thorough mix of pure bliss, add the Sambal Belachan together with the Sambal Nasi Lemak to your rice - OUT OF THIS WORLD ROCKET EXPERIENCE! Not for the faint-hearted. Mr Azman is the owner, always smiling and if he’s not busy tending to his growing queue of customers, you can have a casual chat with him. You’ll be surprised by the stories he has of the experiences of being a foodstall businessman. Most importantly, the small Malay community working/living around there finally has a Halal stall for them to buy food from ! Little hint, don’t be surprised by his “Malay-Uncle-Appearance” persona because he is a very talented La Salle Graduate Graphics and Web Designer. (Don’t tell him I told you ?) Oh, by the way, stall opens around 6am, yes, very early and closes around 2pm. Sadly, he can’t afford to extend his services till evening because it is really a tiring trade. If you do patronise his stall, tell him My Lovely Cameraman says Hi, and tell him to exercise more and take care of his health . ?
