★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Boat Quay, now famous for its thriving nightlife, was once the centre of trading activities along the Singapore River. The area owes its unique charm and character to the warehouses and shophouses that line the river. It was gazetted for conservation on 7 July 1989.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An early morning walk at Boat Quay along the bank of the Singapore River capturing whatever the beautiful warm light showcasing. Then again, it's also a terribly warm & glaring day and I had to pace myself as I'm breathing in/out hot air!
All the shops and eateries 'seems' closed, it's 7:30am after all! But taking an adventurous walk behind the shops exposes men at work, early at work! Delivery of foodstuffs, the howling suction sound at the kitchens while the cooks and chefs were busy preparing food. And so, you guessed it; it's hot and humid at the back lanes but that's where the great photo opportunities are!??!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Boat Quay is an awesome place to soak in the sights and sounds while enjoying a drink or a bite sitting beside the Singapore River ??️.
The place was pretty packed when I visited that made picture taking even more difficult.
Boat Quay is well connected by MRT and Bus. The restaurants in Boat Quay are housed in well conserved ShopHouses, that reminds us of a bygone era.
Boat Quay comes alive in the evenings and that's possibly the best time to visit Boat Quay for some great picture taking.
Boat Quay is a great effort in restoration and redevelopment, while at the same time preserving the charming look what with the lovely shop houses of an era that will never come back.
Adjacent to beautiful Boat Quay are huge and tall Skyscrapers that is testimony to the giant strides Singapore has made to thrive and be successful.
