Our family clan who practice both Buddhism and Taoism swear by many environmentally friendly products from Bodhi. The Bodhi brand has been resoundingly successful in manufacturing and promoting environmentally friendly incense, candles and paraffin oils in Singapore and we have first stumbled upon their incense （卧香） at retailers sometime in 2009. Due to the urgency of getting agarwood incense for cleansing several premises, we simply bought a box of the supposed entry level Bodhi agarwood incense and since then, we have only been using the Bodhi brand. Reason being that we used to experience staining of our ceiling with other brands of incense. But with the Bodhi incense, we hardly notice our false ceiling turning brown-black till today! Staining from the use of incense can be a nightmare when it comes to scrubbing it off walls and ceiling so we realised that the Bodhi brand of incense is probably superior to that of most of the other brands that we had used for the past few decades. Bodhi’s incense probably contains minimal pollutants, no fragrance oils. Our homes seemed to have a soothing and calming aura with the daily use of their agarwood incense. They have another costlier version of agarwood incense which we use sparingly only during very special occasions for worshipping. Bodhi is also very well-known for their paraffin oil of Taiwanese origin which we have been using very faithfully 24 by 7 in lighting up an oil lamp in our primary home. Their butter lamps (酥油）is also one of our all time favourites during special occasions - we would usually light up a pair of it found in glass containers shaped in the form of pineapples or lotuses. We also observe there is an absence of black smoke and no traces of soot when the candles are lit up and they will burn down spotlessly clean right to the bottom of these glass containers. WOW that’s impressive for us clean freaks hahaha! And you will notice that their wicks are held to the base with a broad-based metal plate as shown in our photos. We highly recommend Bodhi prayer products because they are indeed environmentally friendly with minimal pollutants as we could attest to such a good testimony as end-users of their items since 2009. Hope that the Bodhi owners could continue to keep up their good work!
