really cosy place to find preloved books at solid prices! (books start from $1-2) beautifully decorated interior and super welcoming vibes, definitely a must-visit for book lovers? what’s more, all the profits go towards building an education for children in Nepal!! rmb to rsvp by booking a ticket on their website first since there’s no walk ins‼️

A great place to be and also help to contribute to the owner enthusiasm to help the kids in Nepal through sales of the books. Worth to go

Thought this place was a bit out of the way at first, but ended up coming back time and time again. Guess I'm addicted to the good vibes here! It's always fun to visit the Book Barracks, there's always a different selection of books available and the decor just gets better and better over time, can't wait to see what's next ? Love the cause as well, the photos on the wall add a homely touch to the whole place and reminds me of the people we're helping. I've gotten many good gifts off the shelves for friends and family too while shopping for myself, this place truly is a hidden gem ? Come over for great conversations or just to chill, but remember to RSVP! It definitely helps in maintaining the crowd of this cozy space~

I can safely say, I’m addicted to this place. Came here a total of 3 times in Feb! To come here, please first book a slot on their website, more so to manage the number of people in the store. It costs $5 but you get to offset your total books price by $5. So essentially, you’re just putting down a deposit of $5 to secure your slot. Plus, if you bring along 5 books or more, you get another $5 off your books costs! However, the condition of your books need to be certain criteria that can be found on the website. Most of the books have stickers that indicate their pricing, ranging from $5,$7 and $10. Nothing more than $10! Also, they periodically hold $1 or $2 sales on books which have lightly browned pages. A good steal, if you ask me, as even their cheapest books have a certain standard. I should know, as I prefer my books not-so-old. I noticed that a few people popped by without booking a ticket and Randall, the owner, was nice enough to still welcome them. ?? I always leave with at least $30 worth of new books. ? And what’s more, the proceeds from the book sales benefit the children’s education in Nepal? Win-win no? It’s all for a good cause so head to their website now to book your slot (open only every week from Fri-Sun). The place is easy enough to find with clear directions from their website; a short 10 min walk from Marymount MRT. It gets abit crowded with school kids on weekdays and book addicts/hippies on weekends. ?, well that’s what I notice anyway. See you there!

This is my favourite secondhand bookstore in Singapore by far! I check their website weekly to see new releases; they have a great selection. I really love that Books Beyond Borders accepts book donations and uses the profits to support education in Nepal. This makes me feel good shopping there since I know I can donate my books back to them when I’m done with them and not create waste while helping kids in need.

Fell in love with the space, the community and the cause and never looked back! (: The weekend bookstore is just a 5 minute walk from Marymount MRT, with loads of food options nearby. It's a very cozy space with a great ambience. I've come by several times to chill at the space and chat with Randall and one of the wonderful volunteers there. One of my favourite parts about the store is also browsing the shelves. It's like a treasure hunt - you'll never know what you'll find. They sell a variety of good quality, interesting secondhand books at very affordable prices (priced at $5, $7 or $10), donated by generous donors within the community. 100% of net profits goes towards children's education initiatives in Nepal. Most recently, the organization channelled funds towards an innovation challenge, prompting students to take charge and be creative with solving problems in their community, such as pollution or waste. I really love the impact that it is creating and the values behind BBB! I've also dropped off 5 books at the weekend bookstore before, and received a $5 voucher to spend in-store. I used it to offset my purchase of books, alongside the $5 RSVP voucher which is also used to offset the final tally. Do note that the bookstore is RSVP only - no walk-ins allowed! Their live chat is also very helpful - I got help on my questions really fast.

I have visited this place first time and the interior of this place is awesome. They have p also provided very clear direction to reach this place. Just follow the direction provided in the email. They have also given pictures in the email. The collection of the books is OK but the price is very cheap. If you are a book work then this place is awesome for you. The volunteer at this place is also very helpful. They have made the entire transaction very smooth.
