β β β β β I will try them at this outlet periodically, they will never disappoint you. Had my late lunch around 3, and the service provided by cashier and service staff is good. Keep it up. I was greeted by a chef while I was waiting to be seated.
Asked for a napkin to clean my mouth, I had to pay 30cents for this. Earn money from your key item and not over essential item. Just saying.

β β β β β Perhaps itβs due to the shortage of fresh chicken in Singapore, the chicken quality I had yesterday is really dry and doesnβt taste well at all. I only managed to finish 1/3 of my chicken. Hope they would resume back to their high standards soon.

β β β β β i took away 2 sets of their chicken rice and am impressed by their nice packaging of the cutlery and x4 condiments: the ginger, soy sauce, chilli sauce and dark sauce. they were given in sealed packets and quite a generous amount for all four. also, good and courteous service by the aunty cashier too. well done!

β β β β β I visited Century Square this evening, with the intention of getting your famous Chicken Rice for my aged father.
At the time when I was about to place order, I didn't see any roasted chicken hanging at the cutting station. The cashier
who took my order at 5:07pm, told me they have roasted chicken but there is a need to wait for 15 minutes. As this was
evening dinner time, it was a reasonable time request.
However, 30 minutes has passed since I have placed order. There is still no sign of my order being processed, while I stood
there watching customers who have ordered after me were being served.
At 5:40pm, apparently the branch manager told there was a mistake in the kitchen and asked to wait for another further 10 minutes. I was then told that roast chicken will only be processed upon receiving orders.
On second thought, I was thinking to change my order to steamed chicken instead to speed up the order but the same gentleman told me the order was being processed and please wait for another 5 minutes.
Eventually, my order was handed to me at 5:50pm. I had stood there for a total of 43 minutes. I find this unacceptable for an establishment like yours. Aren't order processed based on chronological order, meaning first come first served? Had I known getting roast chicken was such a hassle, I would have changed it to steamed instead. If it was a mistake made by the kitchen, shouldn't my order be prioritized? It made me feel like a fool watching others placing and collecting their orders while I stood there waiting in vain.
I have enjoyed Boon Tong Kee chicken rice so far but this left me with a bitter experience and you have lost this customer and I will share this with my family and friends.

β β β β β A must-have would be the trademark steamed chicken and fragrant rice, dipped in chilli and dark soy sauce. The chicken is moist and tender, and the skin succulent and slick. The other dishes and soups are also cooked well and great for sharing for a more balanced meal. Service is swift and professional.

β β β β β Ate here countless times i realised i forgot to review my regular place! Have tried most of their menu but the best will still be their steamed chicken (duh). Their kang kong was not too bad too but the real secret here is actually their steam fish! Fresh and not overly priced and they only have 5 a day!
I didnt really liked their kailan with pork liver though, cos the sauce was way too sweet. Their egg spinach and salted fish beansprout is a must order!!

β β β β β Been here a few times when my chicken rice mood strikes. There are 2 default chicken rice places for me. Boon tong kee is one of them. Been to their balestier outlet as well and have enjoyed their high quality of both service and food. Today I chose a set lunch. Soup was delightfully peppery. Chicken rice n condiments top quality. Service as always outstanding. Uncrowded and spacious βnestβ. Obviously more costly than food court fare. But great value for money even with plus plus.

β β β β β Wanna try the famous Boon Tong Kee chicken rice. It was nice but pricey as Chicken rice is very common in Sg.
Might have better alternatives elsewhere for cheaper and greater value choices
