Bought a pair of Wayfinder for $250 after bargaining.
Was told it was the lowest quoted by her.
I happened to be at Loyang Point the next day and they were selling it at $199!!
My heart ached.
A week later, I was at a really nice looking shop at the new PLQ Mall "Eyeidentity" and the listed price was $220.
I have not even asked for discount yet.
Lesson learnt. Don't assume Auntie and Uncle type of shop is necessarily cheaper.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tended to by a chap named Darren. Very helpful staff member who assisted me in picking out a new pair of glasses. Gave him my preferences and he painstakingly pulled out a ton of different pairs that fit my description. Eventually settled on a pair that really made me quite happy. Not only that, he went the extra mile to help repair one of my existing glasses ( even though it wasn't purchased from the shop. ) Great service! Really quite impressed with the range of glasses the shop provides as well.
