β β β β β One of my favourite Japanese restaurant to go to when I'm around that area. Love their set lunches with generous serving of food, not like most others that only give pared down portion because it's a set. Sashimi are thick cut and fresh, which I love. Katsu is crispy, well fried and a generous sized piece. Worth the price paid. The Ume Chasuke is one of the best, in my opinion. Great comfort food indeed.
This Japanese restaurant has been there for years and I will keep going back.

β β β β β Saw reviews of this place for itβs great Japanese food. So i decided to celebrate a friendβs birthday by trying their omakase signature set for two. True to itβs review, the food was served course by course each and very well presented. The food served was of great quality. There was a total of 11 courses. However, a couple of the dish were not quite expected. The sashimi wasnβt as nice as I thought. The otoro would have been better. The most disappointed course was the ice cream. It was stated as Hokkaido ice cream but what was given to us was some cheap vanilla ice cream full of vanilla chemical flavouring. This wasnβt expected of them. Other than these disappointment, the rest of the food is really good. Although the staff was quite prompt in clearing and serving, she served us the ice when we just started our hot noodles. Why?? I had to tell her to keep it and wait till we finished it before being served again. The restaurant wasnβt even full. Thereβs no hurry to serve the dessert!

β β β β β Celebrated a special birthday here. Thomas served us with a specially prepared Omakase menu. Usually Iβm not a fan of otoro due to its highly fatty texture and fishy taste, but the otoro here was nothing like Iβve ever tasted. Oysters are fresh and huge! Foie Gras Chawanmushi was special. Beef was good quality. The food quality is top notch and everything was great from the first to last dish. Botan also has an extensive menu of reasonably priced sake. They serve Soju here as well. Great restaurant for special occasions, drinks with friends and omakase.

β β β β β Very bad service, hard to get attention. Waited for 45min for our food today. The taste is average. First and last time!

β β β β β Lively crowd on Friday evening. The restaurant have outdoor (which can get very loud with the overlapping chatter) and indoor seats (if you want to hear each other talking). The seafood sashimi definitely fresh and chawanmushi is good. But the sushi rice was dry and miso soup was watery.

β β β β β Their sashimi is fresh! Food is savoury, food was served fast during lunch hour in the busy district of CBD.

Located at a busy place and crowded Lunchβs crowd. Food is nice and fresh. Service is good though crowded. After a good meal take time to relax and explore around the restaurant. Good nice place for photography for those who likes photography.
Good variety of Sake served in Botanη‘δΈΉ???
Highly recommended ???
