★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Always a great place to head to for some retail therapy for fabric hoarders like myself. Friendly staff happy to assist IF they are not swamped with eager or difficult customers. Otherwise, you just have to wait your turn ?
I have to go with budget in mind, it is so easy to spend more than what you can sew or store with their collections of good quality fabrics & accessories spread along a row of 6-8 stores.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic fabric & haberdashery store. One of the largest selections of printed cottons at great prices - and every time I visit they seem to have expanded! They also have a nice selection of denim. Best of all they have loads of haberdashery that can be hard to find elsewhere. I love their selection of coloured fold-over elastic, stretch lace trim, coloured velcro & bias binding. Very helpful staff too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well-organised and easy to browse. Actually mostly fabric, though I suppose the name is a holdover from when they did more notions. The place to go if you're after printed cottons. Staff are friendly and not pushy, and they are good at keeping track of all the customers' growing selection of fabric pieces at their cut station, if you're prone to wandering around indecisively like me.
Primarily Japanese cotton lawn and light-med weight woven cottons in 44" and 60" widths. Normally priced between $6-12/yd so very reasonable prices, and they sometimes have sales. They also do cotton poplin, cotton canvas, Japanese linen, and denims.
For the widest width of fabrics head to the very end of the corridor, outside of unit #02-1168 which is their haberdashery section. Lots of buttons to choose from there, and also a number of laces, plus the usual sewing notions (feet, needles, chalk etc).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the worst shop I've ever visited. The elderly man who served me said that I can't take photos of the fabric. I told him that my wife at home needs to choose the right colour. So far I have only taken 3 photos. And also their staff said that i can take photos. Next he mentioned that I can't touch his fabrics. I told him that if i can't touch the fabric, I wondered how to buy fabric without touching. Next he said that he doesn't want my business and asked me to go away. Well I moved on. So I went to the another shop, and he came by outside the shop and generally said why I didn't buy from him. With your kind of obnoxious attitude, my company and I will not buy from Brighton ever again. Good luck.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great find of sewing accessories and wide range of materials. The uncle may be a little quick tempered but was able to guide me the amount of material required for sewing. Overall a great place to shop.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is probably one of the bigger if not biggest textile in the area. The selection of fabric and accessories is extremely wide.
Service here is alright, they don't quite take the initiative but are happy to help when asked.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have had been an huge supporter of Brighton of all my sewing years but after what happened to me today I doubt so. The younger guy with spectacles (from what I know he’s the boss) is really nice and helps at all times “only go if he’s there”
Today my friend and myself went to Brighton to buy fabric for an project. I was carrying An heavy luggage and had an drink on my hand (which was completely sealed). I place my luggage outside the store & went inside. There was an elderly man Whom claims to the owner of the store (Not sure if he’s) was standing outside the store.
He immediately started to shouting at me for bringing the drink inside. I told the that uncle nicely that “why shouting at me I would have had left my drink outside if you would have told me” his next reaction really surprised me he “said that he doesn't want my business and asked me to go away.” And he told that “I’m the boss and I will decide whatever happens here.” He started shouting across the row of the the shop that I don’t want this guy to enter the store”
I left as he told that and waited for my friends whom were still fabric shopping inside. What surprised me more was after this incident he removed his mask and stared to smoke near the fabric (Which I have an photo of him smoking for proof) which he’s not supposed to do in that building itself.
And young lady working there came and apologised to me for him behaving rudely. Seems like the employees them self knows he’s rude
I hope that the real boss (If he is not) or the other partners (if he is) sees this and teach him how to respect the Customers for the future.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great selection of fabric at good prices. Goes from $3 to $20 I think! I love the scraps corner! Great for small projects. I usually use WhatsApp to communicate, I find it more comfortable and hassle-free.
Saw another review about drinks, yes, they are very particular about liquids! Such as umbrella or drinks. The younger staffs will speak nicely about it but the older staffs can be a little blunt. But have to understand their kanchiong-ness since there alooooooot of fabric involved.
