Bunc Hostel - 15 Upper Weld Rd

Breakfast was decent. However, the bed sheets weren't really clean. The single bed seemed to be more spacious and had extra room for phones and other gimmicks. The lockers are underneath the double beds and way too small for two people's luggage. Using the washing machine costs 4$, drying the clothes costs additional 4$. The WiFi did not work in the meeting rooms on the second floor. The staff is very helpful and friendly, so, that's a plus. The metro is really close by, which is nice. You can walk all the way to Marina Bay though (in my opinion).

Good location next to a newly build metro station and Intercity bus station. Generally clean facilities and comfortable beds with air conditioning inside the room. They do turn off the AC late morning until afternoon and instead turn on the fans. They provide breakfast consisting of toast and jam. Front desk is helpful in providing information to the city and surrounding area. They have a chill resident cat.

Moved beds three times on the first night i there as I found bed bugs crawling over the bed in the first two beds they put me in. Wasn't until moving beds for a third time into a completely different room that I didn't see any bed bugs crawl over the mattress/duvet and could get an couple hours rest for that night. The bugs left me unable to fully relax in the hostel need for the remainder of my trip so I slept quite poorly the second night. The hostel staff were very good about changing my bed allocation twice seeing as I had photo evidence of the bugs both times. The facilities are reasonable new but not necessarily cleaned very thoroughly with visible amounts of dust gathering around. Good sized tables and chairs in kitchen/dining area, I didn't use the kitchen facilities so cannot comment further other than the fact they ask you to not store food in the dorm rooms but provide no means of shelving etc to store food anywhere else. Overall it was a reasonable stay, hostel is affordable and very close to the Metro. The main letdown was the bed bugs.

The room we got was full of mold on the ceiling, not even your dog would have wanted to sleep there. After complaining we got another room, which was fine. The guy at the counter seemed rather unfazed by my complaint though, which surprised me. Wifi is good. Breakfast is very simple but you can eat all the white toast that you like. Overall vibe is rather generic. It's a decent hostel.

It was my first time at a hostel. Overall the experience was not bad. However, the place is definitely worn down and no longer like the photos. The bathrooms don't seem like they're cleaned very often. The floors are always wet and have no slip resistance. The rooms often get super dampped. I did not enjoy getting into a wet bed. The location was good though. It's right next to a metro and walking distance to a lot of food choices in Little India.

Nice place. Comfortable bed. Nice environment. Value for money. The only bad in this hostel are the attitute of guest. They think that they own this hostel & they can do whatever they want. Here have too much wastage. They never finish whatever they took to eat. Later they dump it inside the sink & clogged up the sink. Bunc Hostel have already closed down from 31st July 2019 till further notice. Renovation to upgrade to hotel standard. Assumed to be opened next year. Latest update is Bunc hostel is opened with different name Signature Hotel.

Slept comfortably. Best comforters I've used so far. Didn't feel the cold even if the ACs were full blast. Great breakfast options. Very accessible and near the train stations.
