Saved this place for a while and finally came and tried their food today. Was greeted by the super long queue upon aerival. Wait for closed to 20mins before i managed to order. Have to say that most of the dishes were under 10bucks and they also served double boiled soup. In total, ordered 4 dishes. Salted fish steamed meat patty, kailan, steam trio egg and the steam prawns with vermiceill. Paid SGD$27.50 which includes 3 rice. Food was fantastic, we enjoyed the food and personally think that the meat patty really stands out. The pork patty was flavourful and wasnt overcooked. Prawns tasted fresh and wasnt overcooked. Overall, the food here is value for money. A pity that the steam lala was sold out for the day. Would definitely come back again.

Down to earth dishes from a young talented chef! The curry fish head gravy is very well balanced like the way I like it :) Not too sour (too much Assam), not overpowering spicy (too much bird’s eye chilli), not coy (too much coconut milk) … Just perfect to my taste bud! The prawn paste pork was equally nice as this is a first for us trying this innovative dish. Tender pork and not over cooked. Ginseng chicken soup is nourishing & a perfect chicken soup for the soul! Keep it up Chef, we will be back again

Dish Number 18 (salted fish pork) is super delicious and perfect texture. I have not had anything like that before of this standard. The asam fish head is definitely among top two in Singapore I have tried. This one is so lovely, blanced, tasty, with a good serving of the correct vegetables. My partner and I loved it so so so much. Update: went again to try other dishes like the sliced fish. WOW just WOW. Im so amazed everything I've tried is so good. My second trip can even outshine my first amazing amazing amazing experience there HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND VERY STRONG RECOMMENDATION!

Unbeatable prices and decent quality though don't think is as good as the almost perfect ratings suggested. Guess the soups are from one soup base but concoct it with different ingredients as my lotus soup somehow tasted like water crest. The braised pork rice was good but over saucy, the bottom half of the rice was so entrenched with the sauce that I could hardly finish it, and I am a big eater. Good thing is the owners are young, time is on their side to perfect their skill.

Steamed Garlic Prawn With Vermicelli, Salted Egg Pork Patties Steamed Rice. $8 for the prawn with vermicelli dish which I last had one at Haig Road market for $35. That's quite the marked down. The variety of canton delicacies offered here are quite decent too.

A young ex-hotel chef and wife manages this stall with a wide menu of tasty but less oil and salt steamed dishes at really affordable prices. Steamed prawn paste pork belly. Steamed to perfectly tender with a very fragrant prawn taste. The base sauce is also very yummy. So nice to drizzle on the rice. $6. Steamed 3 egg is very special. Tofu soft layer with lots of century egg and salted egg cubes inside. $6. 梅菜扣肉 rice is also superb. Pork belly is well braised and so soft with a good fraction of yummy fatty parts. Rice is mixed with a yummy sauce. $3.50. Hugest pieces of Sze Chuan veg I’ve eaten. Quite a few pieces of it cooked with a whole tomato and many small pork pieces. Soup is so flavourful. One of the best herbal soups I’ve eaten. $3.50.

Overall, the taste is on lighter side instead of bursting with overwhelming flavours. I like the salted fish steam pork which is soft and tender. We tried the steam Song fish head instead of the highly recommended curry fish head. The Song fish is ok, but can't beat those stalls from the Chinatown market. Will try their curry fish head in the future.

After my friend's talked about this stall fish head curry taste good I felt I should try it and they were not wrong. We ordered large portion of the fish headcurry, Three emperor Steamed Egg and steamed Garlic Prawn with Vermicelli between 2 of us. The flavours in the food just hit right to the heart. All the foods turned out to be very flavourful. Loved it really the way it was cooked and served. Fish head curry taste was very well balanced I only wished it could be more thick. Fish was really fresh to eat. The prawns is super value for money which tasted good to flavours of garlic, soya and wine just too yummy. Would highly recommend this place. We will be back here again to try other dishes. Total worth the money to spend.
