Update 18Jul - Mason came to help us study the room layout and fan. He was patient and helped with the understanding physically how airflow worked in the room. While our problem is not resolved - we now have a better understanding of what complements the KDK fan and what does not to help the airflow from the fan blades. Interesting that these days, it’s what compliments a fan and a fan is not a fan per se anymore. Thanks Update 13July - the folks from the Service Centre called to follow up... we are hoping this will mean a solution. Dear KDK Singapore, Mr Lim, WeΒ would like to share with you an interesting customer experience that occurred today at your office/ showroom/spare parts center at Tagore Lane. I am sure that over the long history, the KDK brand has garnered enough reputation and business pipeline that is causing you to forget that change is always knocking at your door and I hope that sharing this would help you help us get better products and service from this wholesome well-known household brand. A DC 48” ceiling fan has been installed in our bedroom 2 for about 2.5years. The room measures 3.6m x 2.5m. The 3.6m is reduced with a ledge and wardrobe, making floor and ceiling open length of 2.6m. Based on all known logic, the 48”fan should serve its purpose in terms of space and relevance. Over these last 30months, we have always had the issue of some areas in the room (including directly under the fan) not getting any circulatory winds, not to mention fan speed winds. Covid came and now going away, we decided it was time we should solve this issue. We went to our usual distributor to see if a 56” or even 60” unit would give the room the well-deserved circulation and wind so that its at least liveable in our lovely Singapore weather without the need to overly rely on the AC. This distributor asked us if we tried talking to the experts, engineers, and technicians at KDK? It never occurred to us that we should have consulted you! Contemplating between a phone call or personal visit, we took time off to make the personal call so that we could hopefully learn from our household brand experts. On 12 July 2022, we paid a visit to you at Tagore Lane, we prepared ourselves with measurements of the room, videos of the positions / areas, perspective pictures from the fan as well as from the floor to have a meaningful discussion with you – the experts. On reaching the showroom, we were greeted by your recep who turned out to be the only person who seemed to be your resident expert who could answer our queries and cry for a solution. She repeatedly used a drawing that the fan has a clearance requirement, circulation limitation and that the size is too small, however, the bigger ones would not work in the room due to the clearance requirements for their brand of fans. We pleaded for help to see if there was technical expertise who could help understand the layout and our predicament; the well practiced script was replayed again. Personally, we are deeply saddened and devastated that having 20 years of trust in a brand from table fans, stand fans to ceiling fans (AC then DC) could be utterly destroyed in a matter of minutes, but we should tell ourselves that nothing should come as a surprise these days.When the script was repeated the 3rd time in our feeble attempt to try to ask for expert advice and solutions, we decided it was time to leave this un-winnable battle.Β We do not know who to believe anymore, I am sure we will live the rest of our lives with this doubt that is never cleared. We will continue to think with a stain in our mind how future decisions should be made when it comes to future purchases of your brand from ourselves, our friends or family.Β I am sure this letter / post would not be taken seriously as we are sure you have more sales and business coming in than you can handle.Β Good luck and thank you for the experience.

Excellent customer services from Messi! He helped clarify many questions i had regarding my fan guard ring and even do extra mile came down to check on my fan after office hours and advise us on the exchange procedure. Keep up the service..??

Ordered 4 ceiling fans, one of the unit have a manufacturing flaw on the housing. When highlighted to the service side, they say photo and video cannot show the flaw. The photo clearly show that part of the securing clip has broke off. When another unit which was installed suddenly stopped working, the service person demanded video evidence. The fan cannot work already, I do not know what I can video. The WhatsApp chat is slow in responding and the service hotline tried to transfer me there when raising need for a pickup. Very disappointed when I have high trust in the kdk brand.

I recently bought a wall mounted KDK fan and discovered an unusual humming noise. Bought it to the service centre and was promptly attended to by the service staff, Ms Stephanie. She was very professional, polite and full of courtesy in the handing of my issue and ensure me that KDK will rectify my concern. I left the fan at the service centre and within days was told it was repaired and it was done in a efficient manner.

Stephanie approached me to clarify and explain the functionality of the toilet exhaust fan. She demonstrate how it works, and the trade off between the models available on sale. went the extra mile to lend me a ruler to measure the thickness of the fan, to check if it would fit into my toilet window Keep up the good work ! :)
