Gist: Disappointed with subpar complimentary servicing. Bought a car from their sister company so was given free full servicing and labour costs up to 20k. Full checks were not done on my car for every servicing I went for. Even the simplest job of checking and maintaining tyre pressure was not done. For my last servicing (20k) with them, the engine coolant was not topped up even when it has reached the minimum mark. When I brought it up to the technician, he grabbed a bottle of water and wanted to top it up. Flabbergasted, I told him I would prefer a non-diluted coolant and demanded a proper topup with engine coolant which he did later. Additionally, aircon filters and engine filters were not changed at all. If these are parts I had to pay for, I would gladly do so but the mechanics never ever thought of suggesting that to me. I believe if a company wants to offer a complimentary service, there is a need to ensure the complimentary service is on the same level as their paid service. It doesn't seem so for CarLabs based on my experience. I hope they can provide a better service for their existing and future customers. As for me, I've returned to my previous mechanic. I'd rather support small honest businesses.
