Champions' Forge - #21-01

Zhenggang has been invaluable in my search to find the right balance of professionalism and friendship in a fencing coach. Being relatively new to the sport, I was frustrated over not being able to pick up and perfect the moves as quickly as I had hoped. Moreover, I was worried about hitting a plateau where I wasn't progressing despite continually going for trainings week after week. However, my worries were quelled as I started to train under ZG. As a coach, he conducts himself professionally and tailors each session to work on my areas of strength and improvement. A former athlete himself, I find that he is able to empathize with the struggles his students go through. ZG is cheery and encouraging as well, that makes it easy for students like myself to put my trust into him. His candour and enthusiasm for the sport makes him natural to joke around with and confide in as a friend, which I find important in a student-coach relationship. I’m very grateful to be under ZG's guidance and would definitely recommend him to anyone seeking improvement!
