The Chang Cheng๏ผˆ้•ฟๅŸŽ๏ผ‰mixed vegetable rice stall located in Kou Fu๏ผˆๅฃ็ฆ) food court in Punggol Plaza sells super expensive mixed vegetable rice. They sell a variety of dishes in their mixed vegetable stall. The dishes they serve are of only an average standard but the prices of a pack of vegetable rice can be super shocking. Ranging from $4.20-$7.20 or even more. Out of convenience, I frequent this stall for their food. I have the experience of buying two vegetable and one miserable piece of bean curd with some minced meat on top of the bean curd at the cost of $4.20 for take away. Then there's another occasion whereby I ordered the same dishes and rice for takeaway again, and got the shocking cost of $5 plus for the food. There's also occasions when I bought one small piece of steam egg, some long beans and some fried chicken cut into small pieces at a cost of $4.80. Today I bought 2 types of vegetables, one miserable piece of steam dory fish and a miserable piece of bean curd with some minced meat on top of the bean curd and of course with rice for take away again at a very shocking price of $7.20. I thought I heard the cashier wrongly. I asked again and she said is $7.20. So I asked the lady who received payment from me for the food what is the price of a piece of dory fish. She told me, she does not know. I asked again then how she keyed in the price of the food without any one telling her the type of dishes I bought she was not able to answer my question!!! The cashier did not even opened up the rice pack and take a look at whats inside!!! As the queue was already forming due to lunch hour, I moved on to ask another lady who was packing the food for the other customers, she told me a small piece of dory fish costs $3.50!!! I was left wondering with the following questions: If the packer of the food and the cashier are two different person, and the packer did not even tell the cashier the price of the packed food of the customers, and most importantly, the cashier did not even opened up the packed food and see the items inside, how did they come up with a payment for the customer over the food! So does this mean they can overcharge all customers at all the time without a standardised charge for their dishes? Does this particular mixed vegetable stall located in Kou Fu Punggol Plaza have any standardised way of keying in the payment for all their dishes? I have watched recent news broadcast regarding customers going for really cheap vegetable rice at their locations for only $3 or even less. But why am I paying so much for a mixed vegetable rice for only 3 or at most 4 very simple dishes for take away in my area!!! Just wondering does the government or MP in the different locations look into the pricing of the food court or hawker centres in the areas they are looking after. In particular the charges of mixed vegetable stalls. Inflation has already been putting a big burden on our people, and during these hard times, if some stall owners are still trying to take the opportunity to grap more money because their stalls are the only convenient place for lunch crowds and residents, can they justify the profits they reap??? If you are someone who frequents this particular mixed vegetable stall, you may want to check the pricing for the dishes you ordered before making a payment. Strongly not recommended because of the unstandardised pricing they charged for the same dish!!!
