Uncle Leong Seafood (Punggol) - Punggol E

Yesterday, was my hubby's birthday. We had our dinner there. Teochew style steamed red groupa very fresh.

This is not first time I order from Uncle Leong Punggol. I remembered that the food was good when we ate at the restaurant. But this time, when we ordered for online on 6th May 2022 - Order 3-04052022153043, the food was very disappointing. Firstly, the Black Pepper Crab. It is either they give us the wrong order or that the crab's quality is very bad. The crab is VERY SMALL for 800 gram. We had two other crabs which are 800g. Strangely, the black pepper came in a smaller container. The black pepper crab's meat is miserable. It is like the crab is being starved till it is very thin. =( Terrible. The scallops with Broccoli is VERY disappointing too. Usually we will snatch up the scallops but this round, we "pushed" the scallops around. The dish is SUPER disappointing. It is SO bland to the extent that we suspect the cook forgot to put seasoning. Sigh.. We ordered Medium for the Pumpkin Prawns. But when it came, I was like huh? This is medium ah? Then what will small look like? Terrible quantity. Taste So-So only. I don't taste much of pumpkin. First time trying pumpkin flavor and will NEVER try again. We spent $436 to have a very very disappointing dinner with family. I wanted to contact to complain but there is no channel to write an email about it. So decided to write a review instead. Because this round, we really feel cheated and disappointed about it. Uncle Leong, I think you HAVE to improve your standard and quality. This is really not acceptable. You have lost one customer and many more because if people ask me, I will NEVER recommend Uncle Leong Punggol anymore. Sigh...

Generally decent food. The best among the dishes tried is the Guinness pork ribs. They are super soft and tasty. For this dish alone, worth 4-star. The food portion for the medium size dishes is not that big though. The pricing could be more competitive based on the portion served.

Fried rice is nice not so dry . The rest of the dishes yummy , not salty and oily ... Been there few times ....

Visited a couple of times for family events and gathering! Standard is always consistent, very delicious food! Our go to order: Shimmering Sand Crab - Veryyyy saucy Creamy Butter Crab Hands down our favourite ever, sauce is true to its name, veryyyy creamy and buttery. We will always order cereal prawn and pair the cereal with the creamy butter together! Chilli Crab - No amount of mantous is enough for this! Not too spicy and great with rice! Deep Fried Beancurd - Not oily and super crispy! Please eat this hot!! Cereal Prawn - Flooded with cereal! Sweet and crispy so so good. Chinese Spinach with Egg, Salted Egg Pork Ribs, Guinness Pork Ribs, Mee Goreng, Yangzhou Fried Rice. All these are also frequently ordered all also good. Claypot Crab Bee Hoon Soup - Also had this before and the broth is yuummmmmymyyyyy. Do make reservations before coming.

If you are looking for crabs, look no further. This place has been a hang for me and my bro in law for many years now. As always, ordered the Shimmering Sand crab and Chilli Crab. A must go place for seafood lovers - and always great to have a pint while looking onto the waterway!

Not much of a seafood fan, family booked here for food though. Food was good with the chicken being tasty and shark fin soup delicious, the tables was up to standard, the staff was nice as always. But that’s really it, I didn’t find the food more then just good. Overall, good I guess.

Decent place with great service and excellent food. Cost us $402 for 7 pax and still had left over. Almost all the dishes we ordered was large. Crab was huge and full of meat. Sauce was spicy and delicious.
