Char-Grill Bar - 259 Bukit Panjang Ring Rd

Spring chicken was rather average. Skin was crispy but meat was dry. Was hoping the meat would be tender and moist. Fries are over fried and hard.

Ordered delivery from Food Panda. The food is awful, the fried chicken is dried and is super oily, it seems that it has been left there for a while and re-fried again. Ordered sea-food aglio olio too. The mussel is not fresh, and the fish in the aglio olio abit mushy, bland and watery.… the overall taste is a bit bland too.

Heard from a friend who stays near the neighbourhood that this coffee shop Kim San Leng coffee shop has very good western; CharGrill Bar. Affordable western food. Most main comes with 2 sides. But didn’t enjoy the fish selection.. grilled fish with lemon butter sauce. Fish was a little dry. Ended up asking more butter from the person. Should have ordered the grilled chickens maybe. But overall, it filled our stomachs.

Ordered Japanese curry katsu, 2 garlic bread, mash potato side. Japanese curry katsu missing curry entirely. Nice. Mash potato side is colder than room temp. Nice. 2 garlic bread. 1 toasted with no garlic sauce. 1 not toasted but has garlic sauce. Nice. But hey at least it comes with watery mushroom soup. Come get some!

Extremely overpriced for the quality of food. Could eat at a proper restaurant at the same price. Ordered a medium rare steak for $15.80 and it came well done, was so tough I had to literally swallow the steak down with my drink. Tried it again the second time as it was one of the only food options available in the midnight, but I ordered rare this time as I did not want them to overcook the steak again. But it still came well done. A rare steak and a well done steak is two major difference in the cooking time, how do you guys fail that badly? My friend ordered the baked rice and it was so bland and plain. You guys asked what sauce did we want for the baked rice but when it came, it didn't even looked like it has sauce in it, super dry. The cheese barely looks melted too. Usually 45mins-1hr 30mins waiting time after 7pm despite not having much people. They also ignore and reluctant to reply you when you inquire about your food waiting time, don't even bother to check with the kitchen too.

Standard has dropped so much. Order medium but the steak looks like it has not yet defrost and cooked properly, looks rare more than medium to me.

Was looking forward to having their fried rice but ended up with disappointment. Ordered the normal fried rice ($4.50) and crispy chicken fried rice ($6.50). Call themselves western cuisine but serve in chinese style. Shouldn't western fried rice include a sunny side up egg? (They used to but who knows why they changed the style) The chicken is even smaller than my hand (my hand is smaller than average btw). It's so overpriced now. It used to be good, now meh.. I recommend not ordering any of their fried rice, just order from the zichar store next door lolz.

Ordered Mexican grilled chicken without onion and the staff had to explain to say "no onion" after I ordered the chicken specifically before the sides. So how the hell would I know how your pos system works. In the end silly me, went off without checking still has onions. So much for saying that your system "will indicate".
