Went there late at night for a meal, asked the service staff is the QR code accepted grab and he didn’t answer me. After I paid he rudely shouted at me to check if I paid. Super rude, never ordering from this stall again

Fried rice with chicken cutlet. The chicken cutlet smells and the rice is really oily. Go to the community Centre for better value for money western.

Food used to be good, now the portions are smaller which is fine but the taste has went down as well ? Service is bad too so i think 2/5 stars is generous enough..

Two stars cause the food was not bad, but service staff was terrible. The young Malaysian guy serving is extremely rude, he doesn't wear masks and loves to talk loudly. He is also a bully, a young man was ordering Infront of me and this guy was being extremely rude. When he couldn't hear what the young man was saying, he exclaimed really loudly with a annoyed tone and every response thereafter was as though the young man owed this cashier a living.

?️ Fish and Chips with Mexican cheese pasta and onion rings @chargrillbarsg Pasir Ris branch $6.90 ? I'm not a person that likes colouring and the first impression already turned me off a little as the breaded fish is abit too orange? It was fried nicely but the fish tasted bland. Feels like it's not seasoned at all. ? The Mexican Cheese Pasta was served in a scoop and it looked really mashed up. But fortunately, the pasta are not mashed up when I break them up. Taste wise, the nacho cheese is too heavy for, they added some capsicums slices for the "Mexican" feel but I don't buy it. But I'm sure there are people who love that artificial nacho cheese taste. ?This is probably the most watery tartar sauce I've seen before. It taste like bland, just like the fish. ? The onion ring is fried to a crunch. Most probably the best food on that plate. This is my first time but might not be my last as I like the fact that you are able to choose your sides from the usual fries and coleslaw. Maybe their grilled dishes will be much better than the fried ones. 2nd Visit : ?️ Crispy Chicken with Mexican cheese pasta and Baked Potato @chargrillbarsg $6.50 ? The chicken was a nice surprise as the seasoning taste 60% like KFC original recipe. It's nicely fried and seasoning in point. The chicken itself is not too thick and It's a tad dry. ? Actually I ordered coleslaw but the staff got my order wrong and served the Mexican cheese pasta instead. I have reviewed the Mexican cheese pasta before and this time round it taste better and the plating was improved with a leaf of lettuce underneath. ? The baked potato is well cooked/baked. I have a problem with the sauce and topping. It's a fake sour cream and it tasted like flour mix with sugar icing and maybe some sour tasting seasoning? Nothing in the sauce taste real, it's really synthetic. They used ham bits instead of bacon bits for the topping. Anyway the ham is mixed in the synthetic sauce and I can't taste anything. ✍️up until now, I will suggest not to order anything that need any kind of sauces. I will be trying and reviewing the other sides and mains and let you guys know what to order to have a better dining experience ? 3rd Visit: ?️ Char Grilled Chicken Chop @chargrillbarsg $6.50 ? The chicken chop is nicely grilled and slightly crispy on the skin. The meat is not too dry fortunately. The gravy is a decent chicken gravy like the ones from KFC mash potatoes. ? The seasoned vegetable is cooked/steamed with butter and salt. Simple but nice. So far it's the best sides I've ordered. ?The fries are nicely fried. When there on 10 pm 9 oct 2021, was hoping to enjoy a good chicken chop meal. Added item was green vegetables and baked potato. Upon ordering meal, my request to the tall staff was to remember to put some ham bits for the baked potato as advertised. He said ok. Now take a close look at the picture? Can you find any ham bits? Yes, ONLY 1 bit of ham! When I question him Why!!! His response was, its like this !!! Should I waste my time argue with him over 1 bit of ham? No lah it’s my last time with this kind of treatment and with this stall. Very BAD EXPERIENCE.

Char Grill Bar is my favourite coffeeshop western food stall. They have decent quality dishes at affordable price. Their service staffs attitude can be improved though.

I always buy from this store. Used to be quite good. Now, fried karaage is very black. Chicken portion very small. Onion ring over cook. Too little curry portion for the new menu.
