Iconic "man in Cowboy hat" bistro...Sam's the Man! Cozy vibes with awesome Retro songs against a well decked bar. With draft Guinness at the bar, what more can I ask for... ? Limited food on the menu (for now)...but make up for the quality of food served. For sure its gonna be my "Man-Cave" to chill after a long day/week!

Can’t say enough good things about this bar! I have a brilliant time every time I visit! Sam and Alvin are amazing and the vibe and music is the best you’ll find in the East Coast! Definitely try Sam’s signature lamb chops yum yum!

Been there before and San (owner of the bar) is always such a joy to be around. His place has such a relaxing feel and it always feels like a second home when you’re in there having a drink. Do try the chicken wings and mutton pizza! Both very tasty! ??????

This is the third time I have tasted Sam’s cooking. His cooking skill is superb. Sam is pretty humorous and also very kind. Both my partner and I enjoy chatting with him. We always enjoy spending time chilling at Cheers Bistro. Good vibe! Highly recommended!

Chance upon this joint at Joo Chiat and left with a very good impression. The owner and helper are friendly and the atmosphere is truly cool and nice. It serves very good food too. A certain for me to come back for more happy hours.

My Go To place to unwind in the East. Ease of access plus a great Boss to handle any requests, a definite chill place!

This is one of my fave neighbourhood bars, and one of the best hidden bars in Joo Chiat. (it’s not really hidden it’s on the main road, but manages to hide in plain sight). Home of the Katong Cowboy, Sam, this bar has an awesome feel good vibe, with very decently priced beers and bottles, and an eclectic music playlist with no Bieber, and classic 70s/80s tunes on non-stop. You'll definitely find yourself singing along by the end of drink #2. This is a newer incarnation, as the bar used to be located on the opposite side of the street - but, the new version is a stronger expression of Sam’s fun and quirky personality, and this shines through in the banter, and the cleverly adorned walls with plenty of conversation starter materials. The absolute gem here is the mutton masala pizza; an amalgam of flavours to satiate the senses. A real treat! P.S. Be on the lookout for Bubu, the cute cat bouncer, who’ll probably be sitting out the back entrance on a chair, checking for your ID or directing you to the restroom… or more likely, sleeping on the job!
