Can't believe i paid $5 for a dumpling soup 水饺汤 with only 4 dumplings and vegetables.. Overpriced and overhyped. For this price, i expect something more like a larger dumpling or a fantastic taste. Would have gone to the hawker just beside to have a dumpling soup in future. The dumpling is also smaller than the usual ones sold by wanton stall at hawker. Within their dumpling is mainly prawn and black fungus.

I agree with the majority of the reviews: I expected something more given the hype and the price tag. The fried dumplings I ordered on the side were also quite a let down: small and lacking the wow factor to justify the price. Perhaps the noodles with soup dumplings would have been better, but it's not something I would necessarily want to go back specially for.

Overall, the toppings are generous and delicious. The noodles are very Q but does have an alkaline taste. The wantons and dumplings are very plump, with thin skin. Also has mushrooms and chestnuts which gives it a nice crunch and texture. The chilli sauce is also good.

chef Kin uses unique noodles which is finer than what we're normally used to locally. The noodles taste great but the star of the show are the dumplings. Whether it's the wantan or shrimp dumplings both taste divine with the right proportion of minced meat to prawn. Most importantly the shrimp is fresh and crunchy making for an extremely satisfying bite. Although the queue is long, it moves quickly (waited around 15 mins at peak lunch hour on a Sunday) so there's very little reason not to try these excellent noodles, especially since there's 5 outlets spread out around the island

HK wanton mee ($5 for small) - Good. Came with 4 wantons, which were good, though they were slightly overcooked. The soup could have tasted better. The sauce for the noodles could have been stronger and be more absorbed into the noodles.

This stall opened with much fanfare in 2021 but the queue had died down. The food was acceptable but nothing great. Noodles rather average. I was amongst the first few to try when they started. Their service were amazing, I spoke in Cantonese to order a I heard them speaking Cantonese. The lady replied in mandarin and only communicated in mandarin but spoke Cantonese amongst themselves. At present, the stall has since down sized from 5/6 to 2/3 workers. This Bedok area is price sensitive, if food charge higher, must at least have a smile or a word of thanks. Lastly, it's interesting to see so many NEW 5 stars comments given by accounts that is created just to review this noodle chain and another Chef chain.... isn't this interesting?

Tried both their wanton noodle and beef noodle. The noodles are springy, Hong Kong style. I had expected the beef sauce to be thicker with more flavour. Overall satisfied.

The visit to this Bedok outlet of Chef Kin was really for us to validate the quality of food and service after our last visit to the Yishun outlet. I must say that the wanton noodles were just as good. Besides the good noodles and wanton (which we ordered an additional helping), the service at this outlet was good - from order taking till food being served. The staff there were obliging to our requests. The outlet which was inside the Food Hub was clean, airy and comfortable. Furthermore, there a few other interesting stalls which looked nice.
