A metro station which provides easy and safe access to the Chinese neighborhood of the Singapure city. A crowdy and lively place with open air market, interesting budist temples and traditional restaurants. One of the most popular tourists attractions in the city.

Singapore Chinatown ~ A fascinating iconic area where trade bartering places of worship could be traced back to the colonial time. Beautiful buildings of old that were well preserved eagerly waiting for visitors to explore and discover a page in the past. Lots of things to see, delicious food to sample and knick knacks to buy. A haven where all your senses are engaged. Good to visit in the evening where it is cooler. Best times to soak in the atmosphere are Chinese lunar new year during January/February and September/October in celebration of the mid autumn festival.

The dt19 platform is very clean. There are no restrooms that I found, but it is connected to a mall that has restrooms. If you get off the subway train here, you will be in walking distance from the billion shops of Chinatown and several Buddhist temples. There is also a nice view from the street of several of the downtown buildings.

Chinatown downtown blue line station, a very busy station with many exit points linking along south bring road to Smith Street. You find vibrant settings, ambient and tourists or residents will be over whelmed with thousand of eating places, from Ari-conditioned food outlets to restaurants. Surprisingly with art pieces, paused and took a closer look at one of the afternoon free your mind off from busy schedule. Cheers to the amazing large underground station at Chinatown downtown line station.

Chinatown (NE4/DT19) is an MRT station connected to North East Line and Downtown Line. Nearby locations include Chinatown Point, Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, People's Park Centre, People's Park Complex, Hong Lim Complex, Furama City Centre, Pagoda Street, Eu Tong Sen Street, and more. The station itself has signboards and announcements both in English and Chinese, and is very accessible for elderly and people with special needs.

Feel like in Japan zen garden. Near Maxwell Station… the station is up but not operational yet.

With the convenience of public transportation, Chinatown is rich in the heritage of its name, with charming buildings and shops fronting. Not to mention the temple and the famous hawker foods that had nested for us to feast heartily with family and friends.

The Chinatown display this year is very vibrant and colorful! Though not so many vendors along the streets compared to the pre-pandemic set-up ..that means limited to no free taste of nuts, jellies and mushrooms ?. Still crowded in some areas at the time i visited (29/01/22 at 8:30pm).
