Ordered the $5 set. Rice was too sticky, but the braised meat was good. Braised peanut, egg and soup were normal.

Went there for their set meal noodles. Noodles was firm and very chewy. Add in their specialty garlic chilli plus cili padi, the combination taste very good. Visited there almost 10 times already. Standard is consistent and maintained.

Haven't been visiting Pasir Panjang Food Centre for some time and recently we just found out that there are a number of relatively new stalls since our last visit. We decided to hit on the Taiwanese Cuisine this time round from Chong Jia Food. After some communication with the stall owners, I find that they do have a friendly service. Their menu was rather straightforward, with 2 main dishes, Taiwanese Braised Pork of Minced Pork Rice / Noodle coupled with a few side dishes like braised egg, braised beancurd skin as well as braised peanuts. Taiwanese Minced Pork Rice was said to be their signature. The minced meat was well braised and tasted well with the plain white rice. The set comes with a bowl of egg soup that has a faint sweet taste, perfect pairing to the main dish The food is presentable with items placed in circular surrounding the white rice. What makes it special was the homemade garlic sauce that accompanied the set. Do not worry as the sauce does not have strong garlic after taste. The Braised Pork Belly is commendable too. The amount of braised was of the right amount and was not salty or too sweet. The pork was moist and the number of fats was well balanced with lean meat. I love its texture as it literally melts in our mouth. Likewise, the set comes with peanut, braised egg and shredded lettuce. The dish is simple and served with short-grain rice sprinkled with some black sesame seeds just like those we had in Taiwan. The texture was more sticky than the usual home cook rice and goes very well with the braised meat and items. Having tried their food, I do not mind going back to have the same dishes but with noodles this time.

Splendid food! Noodle were springy & firm, along with the bite of soft braised pork melt on every mouthful with a slight crunch bite with the braised egg and braised peanut. The aromatic garlic chilli given pair well with the black sauce enhanced the noodle experience further. Don’t let the environment fool you - this place would definitely serve up good food at affordable pricing. $5 for the noodle

Discover this Taiwanese food here. Tried the braised pork noodle and mirin cucumber salad. Surprisely is real good. Quantity of the noodle is not alot but the peanuts and pork made up the size. Mixed it well and taste just explode in your mouth. Comes with a bowl of soup which I find not much of taste. Cucumber fresh and very crunchy and must order. Total $5 + $2.
