Coding Lab (Bukit Timah) - 9 King Albert Park

Thank you teacher Hovan for teaching Stella (me) coding! He is humorous and patient in teaching me. He has taught us many coding games and will help me when I’m lost. He is patient with everyone, even those who are a little mischievous.

Coding Lab is the perfect place for kids to learn about coding. The teachers there are very approachable, patient and encouraging. Every lesson is not just fun and engaging, but also allows the kids to learn and understand coding in a simple manner. The works done up by the little ones, after a few sessions at Coding Lab, are truly amazing! I'm sure kids will have an enjoyable time at Coding Lab, just like my 8-year-old boy, always does. ??

My son is attending the Python course online which means I'm able to see how the lessons are conducted. Coach is lively and patient which makes it less intimidating for a beginner. I like that they do not spoonfeed the kids with direct answers just to rush through the session. The students are provided clues and time to figure out on their own, this ensures that the kids know what they are doing, instead of completing the tasks by copying just to "show the parents". By allowing the kids to refer to their notes and complete the tasks on their own, they will learn to persevere and troubleshoot, and it also gives them the sense of accomplishment when their programme finally runs successfully. Staff is friendly and competent. Parents will receive updates after every session on what they have covered on that day. My son was down with an infection and when we missed the first make-up lesson due to his relapse, they arranged another one for him promptly. They didn't have to, since we were the ones who missed the scheduled make-up session they had arranged earlier on. Grateful for their generosity. In summary, the fees may not be cheap but this is a specialisation course and they are generally steep, no matter where you go. At least the coaches genuinely know what they are doing, and my son understands what he's taught, so it makes it worthwhile.

I would like to thank Teacher Edmund Teow for instilling interests and building strengths in his students. He makes coding fun and learning intuitive. My boy has become a confident and passionate coding enthusiast, aspiring to make Infocomm as his future career choice. Thank you Teacher Edmund and all staff at Coding Lab Bukit Timah campus. My son attended App Inventor 1 and 2 at their King Albert Park branch. From scrolling through the website for info, registration, payment and attending the lessons, the process is smooth and communications are prompt. At KAP, I especially like that the classrooms are 'porous', so it gives me the chance to look in to see what my child is doing - although frankly, i've never found the need to do so. My son is able to tell me clearly what he has been taught. I was initially worried of his progress as he had no prior lesson in codong, and the Scratch learnt in school was barely even minimal. I will definitely recommend Coding Lab. Their class size is small, the age gap is kept narrow e.g. each module caters to kids within 2 years difference so learning amd teaching is kept at an optimal pace. Each module is carried out over 5 lessons so the child needs not be tied to that particular time slot for a prolonged period which is hard for everyone's busy schedules. After each module is completed, we can continue immediately or take a few weeks break and join the next one that comes along. It is both intensive and yet flexible. We are now onto Python 1 and I can see my son's interest developing. Glad to put all his gaming time into good use! He is now learning to write a game of his own!

My son attended Coding Lab’s Python and App Development Coding programs. Despite Govt restrictions and classroom sessions could not commence in person, the attendance of the online classes was made easier by the instructors that were patient, knowledgeable and professional. My son enjoyed the week long coding session during his school term break and looked forward to engaging his classmates and instructors daily. He would recommend other kids to take the program as well to advance their coding knowledge.

Coding lab introduces logical thinking, problem solving, and so much more while making the classes fun & enjoying for my son who is just turning 5. The life skills they are imparting through coding is something I feel every child should experience even before entering primary school.

My Son has been enjoying coding lessons with the Coding Lab team for the past year from scratch Junior to Python Junior. We like the fact that he can be enrolled based on his ability and understanding of the syllabus and pigeoned hole by his age. At age 6 he is allowed to join the Junior Python classes. Inspite being slower in typing, Teacher Rachel have been very patient in guiding him through the Python Junior syllabus and ensuring he understood the objective of the lessons. He looks forward to classes each week and meeting like minded older friends. Thank you!
