Coffee Express 2000 - 443 Pasir Ris Drive 6

The Soup stall has changed to another owner and the food is tastless and expensive. Never eat the Taiwan Braised Pork Rice, a few miserable tiny pieces of meat without fragrance of braise and charged at $6.80.

I like this hawker center (quasi food court) because it has a stall that sells Yu Tiao (a deep fried elongated bread dough that is relished in Chinese communities across Asia). It is the only one I know of in this area. It's also the only air conditioned seating HC in this neighbourhood - a good thing when the tropical heat spikes. Other notable stalls are the Chinese soup varieties, zichar, more recently the Bak Kut Teh and braised pig trotter stall. There is also a western stall option though I've never tried their fare Unfortunately the published location for this review is not accurate because google maps is not able to granularly define the unique block shapes for HDB (Government public housing) apartments. This creates a problem in assigning the exact locations of individual hawker stalls. Given that these food outlets are an important contributor to Singapore's social fabric, it would be great if google would reconsider and put a team behind the technological fix required. Not only would it serve the local populace but I also believe it would be of keen interest to those tourists who prefer venturing off the beaten path!

This is one of the oldest coffee shop aka kopitiam in Pasir Ris East. My favourite food over these 26 years still never change... vegetarian bee hoon. Never get bored!! Secondly is the Mee Bok. The prawn noodles is pretty nice, but a bit over priced, you can order the "tester bowl" for $3.80 to try out.

This place is famous for it's delicious Chicken Rice but the staffs attitude are absolutely horrible. Always no rojak, always never give chilli and utensils when ordering take away. When asking for utensils, younger fat boy will shout it's inside already mah! Went back and realised he never give. Boss is very kind, too bad all the workers are lazy and aggressive.

I order lotong from Malay store. The give sour taw kwa to save cost. Tsk tsk. 2 year ago I also bring own container ask to dabao, they won't let. They only want to use their own container so they can give extra charge +30c . Whoever see my review, please don't makan at this store. They won't accept you unless you are Malay or regular customer zzz....

Not the most pleasant coffee shop but the prawn paste chicken is to-die-for! It’s the only reason I came back!

Zi char stall is dishonest. Menu put one price. When bill come another price. Fried rice on menu is 4 but when buying tell me 4.5 Spring Onion Vesion tell me 20 dollars for small size. Auntie told me “cause sit plane come one”?? Anyhow mark up price. Won’t ever come again.

9 Nov 2021 - takeaway during Post Circuit Breaker Phase 2 (preparatory stage) / Stabilisation Phase to COVID-19 Resilience. 3 stars. Tze char standard has gone down. Ordered yangzhou fried rice today and the ingredients have gotten quite miserly and the char siew bits chopped up into so tiny pieces... Not as satisfying as before. Also tried the Thai fish cakes from Kin Dee Thai food stall today. Quite tasty. I usually buy from the tze char, economic rice n dim sum stores. Yet to try some of the newer stores here. Tze char is tasty and not too salty. Portions are decent. Better than another tze char stall nearby. Economic rice can be tasty depending on what's available but one female server tends to push you to get the pricier items. Dim sum - the fried beancurd roll is tasty, filled with pork n prawn but quite greasy at times. Encountered the local Chinese lady with her mask off while packing my order one time and told her off. Even though the coffee shop is air conditioned, I prefer to takeaway as tables and cutlery aren't very clean here.
