I had my share of woe before

Small shop with many things you might need, like SATA cables/ mounting brackets, for reasonable price. Staff are friendly and reasonable.

All those horror stories of people getting "chopped" when buying products in Sim Lim Square? Quite true for this shop! Price of keyboard was jacked up by 20% as compared to other shops. Did not know until I curiously went into another shop opposite of them to look at other products. Terribly overcharged!

I've shopped around this store before. The staffs are friendly and knowledgeable. Their prices are reasonable and first impression to their customer service is very good compare to other shops in Sim Lim that I've come across. Definitely I will recommend this store to my friends.

Update: visited them again because the initial cable i purchased didn't work properly. But they still let me change it for something else anyway :) i picked up a chromecast as recommended by the store staff. excellent return policy! Will definitely bring my friends here in the future! Fast and efficient service, able to reccomend the correct cable for my device.

I almost forgot about this shop till I bought a pc recently and had a great experience. About 14 years ago, I visited this shop at sim lim, the Indian staff seem friendly and nice so I decided to buy a full build pc from them (eventually I learned that this was some sort of family business) After purchasing and returning home, I received a fatal error right away upon turning it on, which eventually cause the pc to shut down. This issue repeated no matter how many times I restarted, and it was random, i could be installing an application halfway and the fatal error comes up. I called up costronics, only to be told that I have to bring the pc down myself, bear in mind that I was serving army and stayed far away from their shop. I brought the pc to their during a weekend and they told me that it was working fine after an hour of check, they did show me a preview of the desktop and I just trusted them. Upon bringing it back home, it started again. I was actually naive enough to do this for 3 times in total (bringing pc to their shop, come back home x 3) and decided that I had enough, they’d even show attitude when they see me in person, as if I’m a pest. I asked them for a refund, they said no. This happened all the way to small claim court and after the court order, they miraculously fixed my pc. Imagine all the waste of time, money, cab fare and court visits just to get a pc, which I spent $2k on to experience this trauma. I’ve shared my experience with friends in the early years and after some research, figured that it was actually a common hardware error. This also meant that Costronics did not want to fix my pc intentionally, and it’s most likely due to not wanting to do a replacement for the defected hardware. Now that I think back, this is absolutely one of the the worst experience I had purchasing an electronic. I hope no one else would become a victim like me, please do not support this unethical place.

Apparently I was served by the boss, did not like his service nor the way he spoke to customers. Purchased a power adapter and it immediately had issues once I reached home to test. Had to go back for an exchange. Exchange was quick but he had an attitude on his face as if I had damaged his product on purpose. Mentioned to him about the build quality of his product, all he could reply was "it is like that, all of them are like that". You can tell that this shop wants to only make a quick deal. Do note that they do not have a return/ refund policy. Exchanges are allowed but only at their own discretion. UPDATE - product bought on 1 Feb. 10 Feb product faulty again. Out of exchange period, unable to exchange. $20 gone down the drain.
