★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tried the beef noodles and it was absolutely delicious. The noodles were cooked to perfection and the beef was tender and flavourful as well.
I cannot really take spicy so I went with the lowest level and it was more than enough. But it was both torturous yet enjoyable at the same time. Would totally eat this again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My son absolutely loves this, being someone who like mala noodles. The owner is a young chap, very hardworking. Was featured on TV before. Worth the try!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Da Shao Chong Qing Xiao Mian is recommended by Facebook and draws us there to try the noodles out.
I tried their Minced Meat Noodles 标准 (which was very tasty! There's a mala (spicy with a numbing) effect when you eat the noodles. You can request for higher or lesser amount of spicyness depending on the level of tolerance you like.
The minced meat is meaty, vegetables are crunchy and noodles are smooth. Portions are also given generously. It's on the stronger side on taste. I order a fried egg to go along with it which is a great combination to go with. Noodles were served hot and we went around 1130am of a weekday morning.
For Singaporeans who are used to less salt and less oil, this might not be something that you might enjoy. However, if you like to have a try on the taste of Chong Qing Noodles, Da Shao Chong Qing Xiao Mian offers that. It is very close to what you will get when you travel to Chong Qing (in China) for such tasty noodles.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Honestly, kinda wanna give this place a higher rating, but not too sure is it because of the timing I visited, around 6 something in the evening and the place is about to close. While the spices are on point, however, the noodles tasted rather cold which really is quite a turn off. Also, I think adding the egg at additional 50cents is not necessary, not because is 50cents which is ok price, but rather don't think the egg goes well with it, but rather more Singapore style. I doubt fried egg is added (or as a choice) at this dish's place of origin.
However, I will definitely want to give this place a go again as having read and watched the owner on TV about how he left his home and loved ones, having settling down here and starting his own hawker business. Perhaps next time I will visit during the earlier hours.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is one of the best chinese noodle i ever had in Singapore, you just want more after eat a bowl of noodle, especially the sauce really goes well with another bow of rice! The texture of the noodle is also firm and chewy, really worth a visit!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The empty bowl proved the worth for braving the thunderstorm today for this.
I almost ordered 1-liang (kids portion) for my zhajiangmian (with minced meat sauce) as I had brunch earlier, and boss advised it’s kids portion. I heed his advice for 2-liang (standard size) which thankfully I did.
My usual lamian portion gets too gerlat towards the end which usually end up with some mouthful left, and am surprised myself that I finished whole bowl.
In fact, boyfriend and I felt a pity for leftover sauce as it was so good that we contemplating sharing a bowl of white rice over the sauce! ?
Come try it yourself. Chilli (we ordered medium spicy) and sauce is shiokness that you can’t find it in restaurants ;)
Side note, boss mentioned he’s open CNY too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good to the last drop.
Even the noodles on its own have a a nice QQ bite to it, similar to ramen standards.
The sauce is unique to say the least, don't know what goes into it other than its Umami squared.
I think spice levels are high here. I went for a medium-low spice and it hit the spot! The owner actually took the initiative to give me a custom spice level.
Can't wait to try the beef noodles next!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful tasting noodles nicely done al dente. Noodles were thin, yet firm with a nice bite, going well with the sauce. If you like spicy as for the 正宗重庆味道 for a nice spicy numbing kick. Spiciness and numbness was just right for me. Really tasty and addictive so do get the 三两 amount (加面). I had beef noodles and the beef was very tender, positively adding to the overall taste. There is an option to topup to add a sunny side egg depending on your preferences. Overall, really great. Recommended. Thanks.
