Dawn's Gelateria and Cafe - 106 Clementi Street 12

Suppose to come here for waffle and gelato orginally but since its about dinner time so we decided to have dinner here. Food was surprising nice and chef was very sincere and came to ask for feedback on food. Rigatoni al pesto was great! Spaghetti Bacon and Mushrooms was delicious too except the layout of this dish can improve. Tomato and Meatballs Spaghetti, the chef need to improve on the meatballs as it taste abit more like Chinese style. Overall, you will get decent plate by plate served food, I can feel the chef's effort! Waffle and gelato was yummy and interesting. For alcohol plus gelato lovers, You can find alcoholic gelato favour in this cafe!

Found this cafe while looking for some place for lunch at sunset way. Was greeted by the friendly staff on trying their gelato. Sampled the gelato and felt that it was nice. Decided to have lunch there as the cafe also offer food items. The garlic butter pork ribeye was cooked perfectly where the meat was juicy and fragrant. We tried Earl Grey Lavender and chocolate orange gelato. Both flavors were the strongest and boldest among the gelato I ever tasted. Would recommend to anyone who like to have gelato and brunch in the area.

Was full during dinner time on a weekend, so book ahead to avoid disappointment. Food was good but the wait was more than half an hour which is too long even for peak hours.

Great for family meals. Excellent food. Love the western food and waffle ice cream. Limited indoor sitting. Call early to book. Highly recommended for pet owners too.

Since Sunset Way has a lot of restaurants, I recommend coming to this ice cream shop for ice cream after your meal :) The staff is really really friendly and they really make you feel comfortable ordering :) They even offer free tasting of the ice cream flavors before ordering. Even though the ice cream is on the pricey side, the taste does not disappoint!! The ice cream is all homemade and I have to say after sampling some flavor, all of it tasted absolutely delicious! What I got: 5 oz, 2 flavors = $9 Pistachio: 5/5 This has to be the most delicious tasting pistachio ice cream I ever eaten! The ice cream is very crunchy with the nuts in it and there really is a strong taste of pistachio! Banoffee: 5/5 This ice cream flavor was the recommended and it is definitely the star flavor with frozen banana inside as well as the salted caramel taste. It is also sugar free! It really feels like I'm eating a banana pie! Other flavors I tried were also really good such as the Pear Willows and the Salted Caramel!

Really enjoyed my dinner at Dawn’s! The food was really well executed, they use fresh ingredients and we could really taste the passion of the chefs - they want you to get the real deal and not overpriced frozen western food. They also serve craft beer and gelato made in house, what’s there not to love? Will definitely be back.

Stumbled upon this cafe whilst searching for a Pet Friendly Cafe. Upon reaching there, the very first thing we saw was a signage that says "Pet Friendly"……. Woohoo!! We settled down on one of the seats and was immediately served a cup of plain water, including one for my doggy. As this was the first time we came here, I decided to order the Tomato and Meatball Spaghetti and my wife ordered the Signature Tattoria Chicken Leg. As a starter, we ordered the Mentaiko Fries which was listed as a recommended dish. When the fries arrived, it became apparent why it was recommended. The serving of mentaiko on top of the fries was generous and extremely good. Definitely one of the better ones I’ve ever tried. If you’re there, please try the fries. The meatball spaghetti was really rich, thick and the portion of the meatballs was really huge. I really loved the rich, flavourful tomatoes sauce that coated each stand of pasta and the freshly made meatballs were succulent, tender and juicy. The Tattoria chicken leg was neatly rolled with the crispy skin and baked to perfection. Served with a portion of salad and potatoes, it’s definitely more than my wife could handle. After the delicious meal, we ordered their gelato and this really made our day. Wanted to order the waffle with gelato, but we were too stuffed to eat anything else. Highly recommended and will definitely come back again to try the other dishes.

Stumbled upon this quaint little eatery one afternoon. Ordered a salad and it came with ice cream! I thought they’ve messed up my order but I gave the salad a go. It was delicious! The ice cream was a little sweet yet savoury and it went well with the salad. Also ordered pork loin and that was cooked perfectly, succulent and tasty, light but filling. Will have to revisit to try out other dishes.
