Wanted to open a bank account today and the waiting alone was 1.15h before I could speak to anyone. Customer service very low on speed.

I got a queue number at the automated machine at this branch, but the queue number was serving at The Arcade branch. Its a short walk over, not a big issue, but I wished I more well informed instead of waiting at the wrong branch.

Outrageous waiting time to open a bank account, it took me 2 hours to get to my queue, they are seriously understaffed for this function, never experienced such a long waiting time in any country I have been to!!! They have quite a few staffs standing by the door, but only one or two staffs to process new bank account opening. They are not staffed properly.

DBS @ Harbourfront is also awful. Their glass door rooms staff not around even after 11am. When you see them around, they are hurrying off to lunch with packets of cigarettes, leaving all rooms empty. Don't buy any investment plans from them. Very unprofessional. Their counter staff waiting time even though only a few customers, takes more than 1 hr. ZERO stars. I don't know which "better" branch to go to.

Bring a bed. I Have been here for 90 minutes queuing to open an account. Still waiting. They must inform us in advance to bring a bed....speed of the sleeping snail. I revise my perception of Singapore efficiency.

The people standing at the queue number machine just blindly direct people to do everything at the ATM without knowing what the ask is and refused to give me a queue number. I lost my place in the queue and had to wait for a very long time. Will not come back to this branch again, and DO NOT believe what these people tell you.

DBS has such bad service it's almost like they strive to be the worst bank in Singapore. Service is slow, frustrating, and confusing-- Tried opening a bank account, booked on ACRA, instructions were to await a call, no call came- after 2 days I booked an appointment on DBS directly, was asked to wait for a call/confirmation, no confirmation or call came, came down today, friday, to physically open the account and was bluntly told at 3pm they were full and to come back monday. Then they proceeded to tell me I didn't need to wait for a confirmation and I should have walked in anyway and refused to look at my email that instructed me to wait for a call. If you want proper service for a business/corporate account, go to UOB.

Most of the time people complained like the queue is so Long and they needed to wait so long. What they don’t understand is it will take quite some time to solve the problems for every individual customers. So you have to wait, no choice. I was lucky enough that I didn’t have to wait so Long and the staffs like Shareen and her colleagues were very very helpful. I can see a lot of people are waiting behind me. I feel bad for them because I have so many issues like need to update new passport, new to update new bank book, wanted credit card and passionate card and wanted to cancel old debit card. Took like 45 mins to solve all my issues. Anyway, my point is this branch has no problem with helping you out. If you had to wait so Long then I think it’s your luck. I was so pleased with customer service today.
