Like the 人人大虾面 and the Malay stall at the corner..
now the coffeeshop food standard has drop a lot.
From the 1st stall... Zup chye peng..
Don't know has change how many hands.....
The Hakka Yong tau hu should be have change hands. I haven't seen the couple there for a long time.
Plus now closes at 2.30am.
The ingredients you see are all leftovers.
Even with the fridge.... U walk pass u can smell...
The ming hui wan tan mee.
Don't need to say.
Look at my pic.
The char siew is as thin as my chop stick...
And is double fried.
Means left over....So fry over oil again ...
And is hard.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great for late night food. Every shop provides great value. Especially the Nasi Lemak shop at the corner. Avoid the Chicken Rice shop at night though. In early July 2022, the man operating its night shift cheated me by overcharging by $2 over the posted $4 price just because I ordered the rear section of the chicken. I would not have minded but the parts he gave were all bony, without meat, near the spine. It left me so hungry that I went to the Nasi Lemak shop where the operator charged me a very reasonable $3.90 for a bee hoon plus chicken wing and pork.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An old and rustic coffeeshop at 290 Jalan Besar, which houses Earnest Restaurant. The semi-circular building is known to architectural buffs as Art Deco building.
Today I tried the prawn crackers or 五香饼 and bee hoon but was disappointing as the crackers were cold and chilli sauce was not suitable at all!
The kopi O was below my expectation though it was interesting sitting amongst some green plants and old settings.
