I guess me and my friend's experience are indeed different from the rest of the happy clients. Our consultation ended before it started. We were greeted with lateness and rudeness from Ms kast and Irene themselves. Initially, we found this law firm like the rest of us on Google and booked with Irene and noted for a Chinese speaker/lawyer for out situation. Fast forward to date of consultation, after 30 mins of wait/late time, which i totally understand of lawyers' time tends to overun; me and my friend (Chinese speaker) entered the room with Ms kast while waiting for Irene. Kast didn't apologize or greet, she said the word "Ok, Start" ; without hesitation my friend mentioned to me that she prefers a Chinese speaker, as understood I voice my apparent concern to kast that we feel more comfortable if Irene does the translation for us. Kast insisted that we should start speaking in English while waiting for Irene, I proceeded to say for the comfort of my friend we should wait for Irene. After this interchange, my friend feels alittle off, and asks if we should find other lawyers and with a shake of disapproval on kast of her insistent attitude to start. Kast of course responded out of spite that she "understands Chinese" while being impatient and calls for Irene to enter the room. Given the benefit of doubt, I trust her demeanor not being rude but rather jokingly ; or in fact trust her words that she understands Chinese; however was quickly proven otherwise. As Irene sat, I began conversing in Chinese to Irene. Kast immediately interrupts and demanded me to speak in English. At this point I'm dumbfounded, Irene is bilingual to serve as both ours and kasts' translator, but kast on the other hand appears otherwise wanting the consultation to be in English. I responded, "I need to be in Chinese so my friend can understand. You mentioned you understand Chinese just now isn't it?". Kast was lost for words, she stood up and left while asking us to leave. At this point, my friend was furious too, stood up and said "Bye" to Irene and left while me and Irene remained sitted and stunned. From here I responded to Irene that kast attitude is pretty terrible and uncalled for. Irene responded with the worse words I would ever expect. In anger, Irene spoke up "Your words can be sued as defamation". With my last ounce of patience to reason and mediate. I said "we just want to speak in Chinese and kast obviously started with rudeness that she understood Chinese". And from here, Irene being her age of a 60 year old aunty scolded us with ill words for defamation. From here Im left with a clear understanding that the situation is unsalvageable, and decided to finally walk out. Well, given my experience was indeed awful. Greeted with lateness and rudeness, not to mentioned being threatened by an old lady for defamation isn't reluctantly close to what peers here have experienced. Perhaps this law firm being inherently Indians denominated and English speaker is not suitable for Chinese law cases. Perhaps our case for guardianship was too small of a renumeration case as well, that lawyer kast feels it can be easily disregarded. Though I refuse to think illy of Irene's and Kast's attitude, but I would have prefer them telling me they don't have a Chinese lawyer from the start.

I am grateful to the counsel and advise of Ms Kas and Irene. Both of them are genuine to serve and are always there to listen and understand the situation before making judgement or providing advice. In my recent case, Irene has always guided me and encouraged me to review the matter on hand from a third person perspective. She need not provide such advice nor to check in on how I am doing daily. What she has done is over and above her role. Appreciate it sister. Ms Kas, while is firm and decisive, she doesn't sweep away the client's feelings nor jump to conclusions. She seeks to understand the thought process before giving her take on what was best for the client and situation. To both Ms Kas and Irene, thank you for walking through this journey w me and providing the necessary care and advise. While some law firms are transactional and just sees every client as a case number, you have shown me that there is hope, genuine concern and very much, true empathy for each individual. Each case takes out so much in both of you because you care. Kudos to the team and pls, you well deserve more than double the stars given.

The lawyers from EALC are simply superb. They were really very thorough from the start to the end of the court proceedings. They made us understand the process and steps involved. Ms Jocinda and Ms Kasth made so much of effort with the entire process. During the trials, Ms Kasth was so superior that she made it so difficult for the opposition to even question us.
