Superb and really tasty Hongkong food. We tried the Pao Fan, Pork Belly, Drunken Chikent, Deep fried string fish and one vegie, plus mango sago dessert, and 2x Cold barley for 59.9. The staffs also very friendly and fast in responding to our additional reques or order. Must Try dishes: Pao Fan, super refreshing and appetizing. Deep Fried Pork Belly, super nice and well define layered of mix texture, topped with specialty mustard sauce. Dessert: Mango Sago, refreshing, not too sweet and natural fragrance of mango.

A quiet corner we have returned to on several occasions. Most notable would be two of the chefโ€™s specials: 1. Pao Fan ๆณก้ฃฏ, rice boiled in a full-bodied seafood broth. The rice retains a slight bite, the broth is not overly seasoned, and the addition of rice fritters just before serving contrasts well with the chopped greens to elevate the dish to a new dimension of flavour. 2. Iced Sweet and Sour Pork ๅ†ฐ้Žฎๅ’•ๅ’พ่‚‰, little morsels of pork dipped in batter and well fried to achieve a crisp puffy exterior whilst the inside remains juicy and slightly chewy. Tossed in a tangy sauce with caramelised onions, bell peppers, and lychees before being plated on a bed of ice cubes, the resulting dish holds a variation of texture and temperature that delights the palate. Best paired with a pot of light tea, or a glass of off-dry Riesling. The braised ee-fu noodles ไผŠๅบœ้บต are of just the right texture, albeit a little oily. Dim sum dishes, however, are rather forgettable. The har kow ่ฆ้คƒ prawn dumplings and glutinous rice steamed with chicken ็ณฏ็ฑณ้›ž are delicately seasoned. Good but not great. Pan fried radish cake ่˜ฟ่””็ณ• is too floury. Wontons tossed in chilli oil ๅ››ๅท็ด…ๆฒน็‚’ๆ‰‹ and barbecued pork buns ่Šฑ่‡็š‡ๅ‰็‡’ๅŒ… have disappointingly mediocre fillings. Egg tarts are way overdone. As for beverages, safe choices are soft drinks or a pot of tea. Their coffee is weak and acidic.

This place is really good value for the price. Everything we had was tasty with wok hey!! Highly recommend for party of 4-5 where you can get to try lots of dishes. Parking can be a challenge during peak hours.

taste wise, definitely think this place has tasty, unique food options (the ๆณก้ฅญ especially, a family favourite) however service and wait time hereโ€ฆ really a drag. Oddly only the Chili sauce is self service, and the dishes come one by one in large intervals, so instead of the usual Chinese home style sharing our meals here because course style ?

Love their dishes especially โ€œpao fanโ€. Portion is quite big hence better order small portions to share if you wanna try more dishes. Do call to make reservation before go. Sometimes might be full house.

A good variety of dim sum. The quality is pretty tasty and worth what we paid for. It's good that they have less salt in all the dishes. The kailan was very fresh as it was garlic stir fried. The yan Zhou fried rice was average but tasty. Overall I would say the experience was average.

Pretty good dim sum such as Siew Mai, Har Kao, pan fried carrot cake. Glutinous chicken rice was really great. Would have given 5 stars rating if their menu is complete. Some selections are only available on weekends. Free green bean soup desserts were served too, no 10% service charge. Pretty reasonably priced and worth visiting if you like to have some dim sum in the north.

First visit to East Bistro for a simple meal for two, so I donโ€™t think the review will do justice for their extensive list of offerings. Dishes were decent although none particularly stood out for me, that is, besides their famous pao fan. Today was not the day to splurge on the crab one, $7.90 option sufficed! Full of flavour and easy to eat. In terms of ambience, it feels like I stepped into Malaysia, or a 2000s Chinese restaurant. I wonder if others feel the same!
