East Inspirations Shop - 256 South Bridge Rd

Superb service! The owner, Mr Cheong and his handsome son, Jacob are knowledgeable, friendly and trustworthy. I love how generous they are with sharing their experience and skill and yet there's no pressure to buy anything. I'd recommend this shop to locals and tourists alike.

I stumbled upon this shop along 256 south bridge road. They have unique antiques and deco at reasonable price. Will definitely try out the tea session. Great service from Elaine and prompt delivery.

Myself and my partner had the best time in this store, with Elaine's great help and enthusiastic charm we really got to see another side to goods on offer, where they came from and the importance of their meaning. Elaine didn't hesitate to go into great detail of anything we seemed interested in and we learnt a lot. It was such a good and genuine experience and I absolutely love the products we brought and will definitely be back and reccomend friends! This place is worth a trip out and the prices were very reasonable

Ambience: this antique shop is like a museum. The staff and owner are not obnoxious about people who just intend to browse the shop. Was gonna buy everything but my house doesn’t have the space. Service: lovely staff. Had a good chit chat session with the staff. They don’t treat foreigners better than the locals (where many such shops do). Really good place for tourists or locals. Product: gorgeous products. see for yourself. They offer tea appreciation sessions too.

What a great store for the tea and antique enthusiast! I entered just to browse and was delighted with the helpful advice and conversation with the staff person I was invited to have a ‘cuppa’ with the owner who delighted me with his knowledge and appreciated of different aged teas I bought a beautiful porcelain tea canister that I can’t wait to get home and put with my other ones Also a great selection of hand selected antiques .There was nothing tired and dusty looking in this place. I definitely will return to see what’s new!

My friend and I had the most wonderful experience spending time with the owner, Mr. Cheong, today at the shop. Not only he has amazing antique and vintage collection, you can tell he loves what he does. His hospitality, as well as Elaine's, will make us come back. This place is a rare gem in Singapore, and a must visit for anyone visiting Singapore. If you like historical, beautiful old pieces, this is THE place.

East Inspirations is the most lovely little shop! It is a great place to shop for beautiful Asian art and antiques - all very well curated and fairly priced. The friendly staff are helpful and informative. The best part is, they offer a delightful tea tasting in the back room. This is such a fun and unique way to experience Singapore and learn about Chinese tea culture. Spending the afternoon shopping for treasures and sipping tea is good fun for locals and visitors alike. Jacob, Elaine and the entire East Inspiration family make all their guests feel welcome in this special store.

This place is a special find in Chinatown! It’s a 2 minute walk from the Buddha Tooth Temple and it’s full of amazing ASIAN ARTIFACTS. Elaine, the shopkeeper, was wonderful about explaining the purpose behind many of the non-obvious items. We bought a LOT of SOUVENIRS for friends and family. We left all of our purchases behind for pick up later. While we were shopping in Chinatown, ELAINE was meticulously bubble wrapping our packages. Everything was packaged so well to avoid breakages and it all arrived through our checked luggage (16 hours later) and safely home in perfect condition. If you are looking for a place to fine very unique gifts and souvenirs, I HIGHLY recommend you see this shop and ask for Elaine. They also have a secret tea shop in the inner recesses where you can sing up to learn about the etiquette behind a TRADITIONAL CHINESE TEA CEREMONY. I wish we had time to sign up for this…maybe next time :-)
