I joined Mr Foo's economics tuition class @ EconsActually in Nov 2017. Mr Foo is an extremely patient and kind tutor, he ensures that I understand what I have learnt by asking me questions and explaining it again many times. To help me to improve my Economics, he always stay back to answer my questions and reinforce my foundation. He makes lesson more interesting by giving us real life examples and his lesson is never boring. Furthermore, before the start of the lesson, he often gives us summary which helps me to understand better and it is easier for me to memorize. He also gives us techniques to answer examination questions. Overall, Mr. Clive Foo is a very effective, patient and kind economics tutor who understands his students well and his teaching is extremely interesting.

Mr Foo is a very dedicated and hardworking tutor who never fails to go the extra mile for his students. He would stay back after class to clarify our doubts and would reply us quickly when we needed help online. Additionally, Mr Foo was super resourceful and had clear and effective notes for us. Besides that, i liked the method Mr Foo taught us economics, where he would use acronyms to help us easily memorise the content. This made me start to enjoy the subject more as i soon felt studying economics was not as hard as before. Under the guidance of Mr Foo, i saw my H2 economics grades jumped from S in midyears to B in the prelims and eventually an A in the Alevels. For those struggling in economics, i highly recommend Mr Foo as a tutor to help greatly improve your grades. Thankyou Mr Foo!

I have greatly benefited from attending Mr Foo's class even just for three months. Mr Foo gives an overview of the different branches of a topic and how the topic can be linked to other topics, which is useful for personal revision. Rather than just topical revision, he analyses economic questions in a manner that brings together concepts from everywhere, presenting unique ideas for essay questions and teaching us to identify concepts, that serve as effective aids in doing case study. The lesson is easy to follow as Mr Foo condenses complicated ideas into simplistic diagrams and pauses the lesson to check on each individual, clearing our doubts and ensuring that we are on track. Mr Foo's patience and unique style of teaching instills fin in learning economics fun and encourages me to explore different ideas. :D

Though I was not highly passionate about Economics as a subject initially, Mr Foo managed to spark my interest in it through his engaging and informative lessons. The constant real-world applications and analogies he makes throughout his lessons allows me to not just understand but to also appreciate the content taught to us and their relevance to our lives. He is a highly dedicated tutor who is concerned with each and every student’s progress, as he never fails to check up on our queries and clarify our doubts at each lesson checkpoint. Mr Foo is also very meticulous in explaining the strategies to write good essays and nail case study questions, which has helped me realise how easy and manageable Economics can actually be with the right tutor. Seeing myself struggle in Economics after my J2 mid-years, I decided to join Mr Foo’s classes to improve in particular my essay and higher-order-thinking questions writing skills. Though I only joined his classes for the 3 months prior to A levels, I saw tremendous improvement in the aforementioned skills, and on top of that, bridging my understanding of various topics and correcting any misconceptions I had before. Mr Foo’s small class size ensures that we can learn optimally, and he diligently marks our weekly assignments, leaving encouraging words whenever he sees us improve. Also, the learning materials he provides every lesson are extremely helpful, especially those given near the A levels. Most importantly, his patience and passion in teaching is highlighted by the fact that he is always ready to respond to the torrent of queestions I have be it during or after classes, and even on WhatsApp. Answering my doubts whenever they appeared, Mr Foo has made me more confident in the content and excel in Economics. Mr Foo is an experienced and friendly tutor who truly dedicates his time to ensure you improve. I am really grateful to have joined his classes, thank you Mr Foo!

Economics was a subject I initially lost interest in because regardless of the amount of effort I put into revising for it, my results were never true to my hard work. I was scoring E and S grades consistently throughout most of my J1 year before I decided I needed external help. When I found Mr Foo’s tuition, I thought it was going to be like school tutorials but I was immediately proven otherwise. Mr Foo has ardent passion and a deep rooted understanding of the subject. This means every lesson is not just compressed with textbook content but real life examples that help with the understanding and application of the theories being taught. Mr Foo’s lessons explores beyond the ‘what’ aspect of economics and into the ‘why’ aspect, where he consistently seeks to strengthen and develop our understanding of the theories which will allow you to tackle any question that comes your way. Aside from teaching content, Mr Foo also shares his exam skills which has proven effective as my grades started to improve quite instantly. He shares the most efficient and safe ways to go about answering questions to secure the highest grades even when your content may be lacking. Above all, Mr Foo is extremely attuned to each and every one of his students, being acutely aware of their individual strengths and weakness and therefore being able to tailor a method that works best for that individual. He also dedicates a slot in every one of his lessons to check up on his students individually to ensure their doubts are cleared. All in all, I would like to thank Mr Foo for guiding me to achieving an A for my A levels!

Mr Foo is a tutor who is very passionate about Economics, bringing in relevant recent events occasionally to make his classes more light-hearted and interesting. He also never fails to pause at intervals to check if everyone understood what he went through, showing his determination not to leave anyone behind. All these have not only allowed me to achieve A for H2 Economics in the A levels, but also gain a greater understanding and interest in the subject. I'm really grateful to have him as a tutor.

I found all of my lessons useful because Mr Foo does an excellent job at helping us to understand what we learn and apply it properly. His notes are always well-prepared and provide good examples for us to follow. It really boosted my confidence in tackling challenging questions and especially in the A level exams. Mr Foo is a dedicated teacher and definitely helped a lot, allowing me to improve my Economics grade from C in Prelims to A for the A levels just in a matter of weeks.
