★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very competent and friendly officers, thumbs up and i would give them 5 stars!! However, the actual layout of the embassy is rather embarrassing. There are only two counters and the one where visa applications are handled is right in the waiting area - there is basically no privacy for the one who needs to discuss his topics. (the officer sits behind a thick glass window and speaks through a mic & speaker to the applicant). There is no way not to listen to their conversation! And I thought protection of data privacy is the new holy thing in Germany. Fair enough, the second counter is framed by glass and offers privacy - but that only for passport, birth register, etc. applications. But please, Germany, you can do better than this!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beyond terrible .. paid for courier services but because they printer the dates wrongly I have to take emergency leave down to pass them my passport and also another day to collect my passport .. very horrible service

- Vague statements and requests
- outsourced services via VFS making Visa applications more expensive
- kind of unfriendly / rude email answers if you get an answer actually. Seems to be a coin flip
It is embarrassing to see a country claiming to be efficient have absolute inefficient embassy staff and procedures.
I am not aure if they understand that this is a customer based service they are offering which should result in quick and accurate answers, fast handling of requests and reasonable opening hours. Not saying the customer needs to be king but surely they should be better treated than a peasant.

Nobody answer phone calls!! Short working days and time 4 days 3.5 hours unhelpful even if you get through on call not possible to provide any information! Wasting German tax payers $$$ ???????

At the moment, most visits are via appointment only, do visit the Embassy website to schedule.
Amazing experience. I was applying for a National Visa. In and out in 15 min with my passport back in 5 days! Make sure you collect all of these documents according to their given instructions.
* Two fully completed application forms.
* Two passport photographs.
* Valid national passport
* Proof of residence.
* Health insurance
* An employment contract / binding job offer
* Approval by the Federal Employment Agency
* Curriculum Vitae. Your updated CV,
* Proof of Qualification.
