I got an S grade for H2 math for my A levels, so my friend, who previously attended Espen tuition, recommended Espen Tuition during my year of retaking A levels. Mr Espen is a teacher who is direct and quick at teaching techniques for math, but is also accommodating to students who are slower, being willing to slow down and explain difficult concepts in different ways so that a student can understand better. If I come across a question I cannot solve from a school tutorial, Mr Espen also answers enquiries I have over Whatsapp. Mr Espen has also shared tips on how to manage time and be productive, allowing me to grow in a holistic way on top of improving my math. The materials provided are worksheets with detailed solutions, and you can request for additional practice so that you can master a topic. The worksheets covered many question types and allowed me to be familiar with the different ways a topic can be tested and allowed me to be ready to answer even the most challenging questions. Despite having a very weak foundation in math, the worksheets and explanations during tuition sessions allowed me to become more familiar and confident in math and allowed me to work on my accuracy and time management under exam settings. I was able to attain a B grade after attending Mr Espen’s classes.
